Monero is considered as one of top 3 Cryptocurrencies, the reason for this is because of it´s privacy benefits. You can literally have millions of dollars in Monero and none can see or know that you have. You can, for example send millions of dollars to anyone and none can ever see that the transaction was made.
Kind of what Bitcoin was supposed to be... unfortunatly many people still think that, but it´s NOT.
