There's been a rumour circulating about the sacking of the Nigerian head coach, which has been denied by the Nigerian football federation and it's also been confirmed that the super eagles Head coach Gernot Rohr if ever sacked is going to be paid a staggering sum of ₦600m probably due to the fact that his contract was cut off before it ran out. so the decision to sack him will be made when the bank affiliated with the Nigerian senior team agrees to pay out this huge sum of money to a Foreign coach who had previous jobs in Burkina Faso.

Now this news comes as a sure not just because of the huge amount of money being paid to this foreign coach but also because of the fact that the Nigerian football federation decided to stick with someone who is not producing results for so long and in the end break his contract and have to pay up to ₦600m as parting fees that is just wrong. why couldn't Nigeria just go for a home-based coach and engage in other country to quote national team where to look falling to find someone who doesn't understand the super eagles. A while back Stephen keshi was the coach of the Nigerian senior team, when is tenure the Nigerian super eagles you able to win the African cup of Nations in 2013 and in the world cup of 2014 qualified for the quarter finals, and for the first time in a longtime go through the group stages which was a good thing but then after achieving such feats the Nigerian federation of football still messed him up and in the end is no more with us.

This is just bad timing sacking a coach now when a lot of international competitions are coming up is just terrible because the African cup of Nations coming up next year in Cameroon is just round the corner and the world cup qualifiers starts in 2022 also and which fixtures against Ghana, Egypt, Mali and Cameroon all of which are very capable opponent now is not the time to be sacking a coach how is the time rebuilding the team how can you expect to succeed in this conditions without a solid understanding between coach and players this is wrong.

Though this has not been confirmed completely it's begin to look like the NFF may have found a replacement for the sacked German coach. One of the people touted as Gernot Rohr replacement is Salisu Yusuf who has some shady fast with allegations of bribery and fraud hanging around his head now is it someone who is good enough to carry his national team to greater heights, and when he was charged with this he said he was not being bribed but was just collecting gifts from players, what kind of lies. That personally I don't believe so every coach is supposed to be a model citizen to their players not just on the pitch but also off the pitch. in the footballing world character and personality have as much weight as tactics especially when it comes to coaches I for one do not believe that Salisu Yusuf is capable of doing any better than his predecessor.

One major issue with the Nigerian federation of football is its inability to find capable hands to properly manage the senior football team, always playing politics always playing favouritism and nepotism and because of this it has caused multiple setbacks for the senior men's team because let's face the facts the team cannot perform better than the ability of the coach. what is that in terms of quality and talent and experience the Nigerian super eagles are lacking in none of those things they have players all around the world most of which are playing in the highest leagues in various countries and across Europe so the main issue with the Nigerian national anthem is finding the right person to lead this team into success.

But in the end I guess time and results will tell whether the Nigerian federation of football NFF have made the right decision by sacking this foreign coach in bringing a fellow countryman with a questionable past as the new head coach of super eagles.
