As you probably remember, this option was first provided to its users by PayPal, at the end of 2020. As expected, this decision of PayPal was of great importance for the development of the crypto community. This development is clearly visible especially when you consider that during the second quarter of 2020 alone, there were as many as 346 million active PayPal accounts that processed an incredible $ 222 billion in payments. After the news initially spread, Bitcoin broke the 16,000 mark. Although PayPal is not the first company to engage in cryptocurrency business (e.g. Square Cash enabled the use of Bitcoin on its application back in 2018), as a giant in its sector, it has significantly influenced the increase in the number of cryptocurrency users.
