We adopted a cat!
Hello, dear friend of Read Cash!
Today I want to tell you about the new member of our family, a black cat, who is barely a baby.
The adventure began on February 24 of this year, 2024. It will soon be one month old.
He has been with us for a few weeks, he was outside our house, crawling and fighting for his life. We were afraid (mom, her husband, my sister and I) that something bad would happen to her.
Some children in the community tend to be cruel to animals. Hence our fear. Apart from this, in the community where we live there is no culture of properly caring for animals, or adopting them.
Given all this, something happens. The kitten does not walk on its hind legs.
First day at home.
So, we took him to the vet, they prescribed him medication, they dewormed him and gave him an injection for the pain.
It's been weeks, so we've taken good care of him, and done therapy on his back legs. My sister takes care of it every day. She is very diligent.
Fortunately we have seen results. He arrived without resting on his paws, and without moving his tail. And this week the tail has moved. He has also stood on his four legs occasionally, and tried to play with the other cats in the house.
Visiting the vet. Photo taken before entering.
I think that the interaction with others of his species, added to my sister's therapeutic attention, have done him good.
I hope to continue telling you about its evolution. We have high hopes that he will walk and be able to defend himself on his own.
It has not been easy to adopt him, he requires a lot of attention and care, much more than cats when they walk on 4 legs. Plus, being so small he doesn't have his mother to feed him, clean him, and teach him basic things about cats.
So we are taking care of him 100%, trying to do it like a mother cat would.
Wish us luck!

The funds raised in Read Cash will be used to sterilize my cats Gatina and Carrot. I am carrying out a support campaign, you can read it in the following post:

That is great job and obligation! You are such a animal lover.
