How I Make PowerPoint slides look elegant and designy?

Here a some thoughts and ideas how to make a good presentation with wonderful slides:

1. Know your audience and the

   presentation purpose

3. a presenter: What do you want to get out of it?

4. Find the right presentation approach (Informative or persuasive)

5. Select a great looking template or design it on your own

6. Structure your presentation

Here is the essence: All of these steps are done outside of of the PowerPoint program except step 4 and without any exception they don’t involve any content creation. Only after step 5 will it be useful to start working on the actual contents. This saves you an enormous amount of time and your slides will also look much much professional.

6. Start with the content creation (Create the slides) based on the structure

7. Pay attention to important presentation characteristics (Only one message per slide, avoid too much text, keep the design consistent with guidelines on the slides)

8. Add interesting elements (Animations, Sounds, interesting presentation techniques, quotes, storytelling elements, emotional elements)

9. Review everything (Check contents, check grammar and spelling)

8. Practice
