It depends on what type of formatting you had done with your hard drive. If you removed one disk drive with the disk management application, then there is no need to panic. You can use data recovery tools such as Recoverit to restore all your deleted data.
If you had wiped the entire hard drive, then it means you have to reinstall your Windows operating system on the computer. For that, you have to create new disk drives. Once the entire installation procedure is done, you can use Recoverit to retrieve lost files.
The vital thing you should do is not to add any new data to the hard drive before the recovery process. Adding new data will overwrite the memory space of previously deleted content, and it will reduce the chances of getting every last file back.
If you do not know how to restore deleted hard-drive data, then you can check the following steps to recover lost files quickly.
Download and install Recoverit data recovery tool as soon as you reinstall the windows on your computer;
Launch the application, and from the interface, locate and select the disk drive from which you wish to recover deleted files first.
Thanks !
Recuva can handle them too. ... Similarly, when you format a drive especially if you use the Quick Format option, Windows erases the hidden index but does not overwrite the existing files until you start saving new data to it. Recuva can still scan the drive's contents to find your files.
