I’m sorry to know that your important file has been deleted from your Windows PC. While it might seem like a tedious situation to be in, you can easily recover your file. Stop using your system as of now and don’t even restart it a few times to prevent the overwriting of your data.
Method 1: Use a recovery tool
The easiest way to get back your deleted files is by using a dedicated windows data recovery tool. You can just look up on Google and see a wide range of data recovery tools for Windows. I looked up the reviews of the tools, their compatibility with the Windows version and the data types as well. After considering all these things, I installed Recoverit data recovery on my computer, but you can try any other application too.
Once Recoverit is installed, just launch it, and select a source location to scan from its home. This can be a partition, drive, or you can browse to a specific folder to save your time. The application will let you know the progress and would provide a preview of the recovered data in the end. You can simply select what you wish to get back and recover it to the desired folder.
Method 2: Check Recycle Bin
You might already know that when we delete something, it is moved to the Recycle Bin in Windows. This is where your deleted files are stored on a temporary basis. Whenever you wish to restore your files, you can visit Recycle Bin and select the data you wish to get back. After that, right-click, and select the “Restore” option from the context menu.
Method 3: Restore an existing backup
Well, if you have already taken a prior backup of your data, then you can just use it to restore your files. Just connect your backup drive to your computer and extract the backup files from it. You can also go to its settings and extract the backup from the File History option as well.
Hope this helps you.
