Aisha was trapped inside the mirror for three days. When she arrived at the world beyond the mirror, she saw other younger girls of her age and even less who were trapped as well.
She didn't know her mission there but she was all out to find out. If she was also trapped there then it meant she was there for a purpose which she was going to find out what.
Aisha's parents were running a shelter skelter looking for Aisha all around the neighborhood. Her mom started blaming Aisha's class teacher for her daughter's disappearance. She told her Aisha got missing the night after which she came back earlier from school crying. The same day she accused Aisha of being and acting possessed.
She went to the school to hold her on the neck to return Aisha to her but the innocent class teacher knew nothing about Aisha's whereabout and she felt sympathy for the mother because she was so people.
Where could Aisha have gone to? Why did she leave her behind and not say where she went to?
Mrs. Beatrice left back home the first night after Aisha's disappearance. She spent the night in Aisha's room hoping she would show up where ever she was.
Now she regretted not paying closer attention to her daughter and what has been bothering her whenever she told her that she was hearing and seeing things.
Could they have come for her daughter?
Where did they take her to? She wept all through the night still hoping that the next morning she would see her daughter running towards her.
Aisha on the other side was busy trying to find the truth about her and the other children that were in that part of the world.
She called Katherine, another girl of about her age one day and asked her what she was doing there and how she got there.
Katherine told Aisha that she too has been trapped there for months without any hope of returning home. Katherine started crying, telling Aisha how much she misses her mother and little sister.
Katherine is Eleven years old and has a little sister of about 3 years old. She misses her sister and her mom so very much.
Aisha patted her and told her not to worry that they would escape from there. She doesn't know exactly how they were gonna do it but she promised Katherine. She reassured her everything was going to be fine and nothing would happen to them
She also asked if Katherine have been hearing strange voices as well. Katherine said she heard voices since when she was three years old but the problem was that no one believed her not even her mom so she stopped telling her mom about the strange voices she has been hearing until one night when she was tempted to follow the voice's instruction and was swallowed up by the mirror which led her to where she found herself now.
Aisha told her the same thing happened to her. She told her how her class teacher said she was possessed because she told the whole class about hearing strange voices. And how she too heard the voice that night and was also trapped
This is when Aisha figured out that all this was a trap to keep the children locked up forever from their parents.
The strange voices were a trap, they manipulate the minds of these innocent children and make them see things they shouldn't be able to see for a normal child.
And the images they saw in the mirror struggling in their body are a way to draw their attention and make them curious to know why it was so. Again she promised Katherine that they would get out of that place and they weren't going to do it alone but with all the other kids.
Being that Katherine has been there for some months, she knew and spoke to some of the other kids. She also knew some secret places and passages around the place. Aisha told her to tell her all about these secret places and passages. Though she didn't want to at first cause she was afraid but Aisha asked her to trust her. If she wanted them to escape from there then there was something she got to have done and that is telling her everything she knows about the place.
Katherine told Aisha all she knew about the world there were. She also brought the other kids to Aisha who also shared their stories one after the other and all were similar to what Aisha and Katherine also went through.
Aisha promised to get the kids out of that place and she was going to need their collective efforts to make that happen. She told them that after three days of her stay there, all of them are going to leave and never come back.
The three days she wanted to use to make plans concerning their escape. Aisha was a smart girl and she was an outstanding kid as well. She spends three days making inquiries and drawing plans for their escape.
On the third day, Aisha told them that their escape plan was all ready and it was only time for implementation. She told all the other kids what they needed to do and where they are to be positioned at the time of escape while she and Katherine would look out for the guard.
Time Of Operation
When it was time, the other kids did exactly as they were told to while Katherine and Aisha were out to get the two guards positioned at the passage or entrance leading to the outside world. Both Aisha and Katherine grabbed a heavy iron and knocked out the two guards.
And then they signaled the other kids to move forward. They did as they were told, one after the other they all tiptoed and passed the entrance to the other side.
The interesting part is that each kid that passed through that entrance found his or herself in their room just the same way they left, every one of them.
When all the kids left and it was remaining just Aisha and Katherine, they both cried and hugged each other promising to look for each other when they get home to the other world. Katherine thanked Aisha for showing up for them and saving all the children that were trapped. They both waved goodbye and walked past the entrance.
Aisha returned to her room. When she got home, her mom was fast asleep on her bed, she didn't wanna disturb her so she let her sleep while she slept beside her. When Mrs. Beatrice woke up the next morning and saw her daughter, she cried and hugged her. She asked her numerous questions, but Aisha didn't know where to start with the answers so she only returned her mother's hug and promised never to scare her like that again.
When Aisha was settled, she told her mom everything that happened. Mrs. Beatrice was thankful that her daughter was back and safe, she also applauded her for her bravery.
