Have you ever eaten a seasonal mushroom that only comes out when there is rain and thunder and lightning?

We call them uhong and ligbos in our place and they are special delicacies that some people wakes up as early as 4 am and look for them in the fields.

A simple soup or adobo with these shrooms, then you will forget your name! But these are not so good for those people who have high uric acid because they will surely have an arthritis the next day.

These people are one of them, though I and my family used to look for them in our far, they emerge lesser these days because of herbicide uses.

Not only the rooms provide food but it also provide a living to some people just like them in the picture.

The lady in the photo sells mushrooms along the highway. People who knew about this delicacy will surely stop and buy it from them just like my colleague!

Some of her neighbors are selling mushrooms too!

They sell the mushrooms for 35 pesos per heap but the lady whom my colleague bought from sold hers for 30 per heap and sir FOnzy bought 5 heaps to satisfy his cravings.

I remember so well way back years ago; my father loves uhong so much that he will request my mother to find and cook some for him even though he knew for sure that he will get an arthritis the next day. He says bahalag magsakit ang tuhod dili lang magsakit ang dughan (he will foraske the pain of his knee than not satisfy his cravings) so we let him be.

Have you ever eaten this kind of mushroom?
