Welcoming 2022 at my sister in law’s house with a blast
Happy New Year to all! It’s the first day of the year and I was absent in this platform for the past days. It is because I was busy preparing for our new year’s celebration. This year, we didn’t spent it our house because I thought it’s gonna be lonely since it is only me and my boys. So a few days back, I asked my sister in law if we could spend the last celebration of the year with them. She agreed without a doubt.
Yesterday, I planned to wake up early because I need to be at the market to buy some fruits of 12 different kinds. It’s been a yearly tradition that most Filipinos never failed to prepare during New Year. Unfortunately I wasn’t really feeling well the moment I woke up. Headache and cold is such a pain in the a**. I thought going to market early is a good decision, thinking there would be less people but it wasn’t as people flock around in every corner of it. So I didn’t stay for long, went home right away after I was done.
When I got home, I keep on sneezing so I had to wear facemask even inside the house. I also drank a lot of water and some medicine to find relief. I told my husband about it, and he told me that if I didn’t feel good until later we could just stay at home and order food outside. I insisted that I just needed a good rest, so I slept for about two hours after our conversation.
I feel refreshed after I slept so I prepared the food I am going to bring at my sister in law house. I asked my kids to get ready. I message my brother in law to fetch us at 7 pm. By 630 pm my father in law arrived to fetch us, as usual he came early, glad we’re all ready. We got inside the car and proceed to their village.
By 730, we got there because of some congestion at the road. I brought some medicine just in case I needed it. When we arrived at my sister in law house, she told us that we’re going to attend mass at the nearby parish church. We arrived just in time before the second mass begin. We were able to get inside the church too. The priest said that one of our tradition during new year is to change our curtains, bedsheets and many things inside our home. He said that as we change it, we should change some of our attitudes as the new year comes.
When we got home, we took some pictures and ate our dinner after. We change into our pajamas and the fun started. My sister in law’s mother is now living in Japan so every new year they always had parlor games to make the party more exciting and the prize is sponsored by her. I am glad, my boys had participated last night.
The first game was candle blowing challenge. The mechanics of the game is to blow the candles in one blow. There’s a corresponding prize to every candle you blow. It was a great game, however no one got the 1st prize.
Since no one got the first prize it was added to the second game of the night. Flip cup tic tac toe challenge was the second game. The players group themselves into two groups. The mechanics of the game is to flip the cup and then row it like tic tac toe, but since we don’t have paper, the first team who flipped the cup first wins. Each group had a hard time playing this game, so the prize was doubled. The winners took 100php each after the game.
The third and the fourth challenge was very easy one. I don’t know what’s the name of third challenge but let me state how it goes. A total of 1000 php bill was exchanged to smaller bills and then put into a bucket. Each player was blindfolded and asked to get money from the bucket. The game continues until the last money from the bucket is gone.
We have to stopped the game for a while because the clock strike at 12 which means it’s time to welcome the year 2022. The fireworks started outside the neighborhood. The honks of cars of motorcycles are getting louder as well. After a few minutes, we all went to my father in law house to greet him.
When all the noise is gone, the game was resume. The last but not the least game was the viral “sandok challenge” I know most of you are familiar with this game, so for those who aren’t the mechanics of the game is to get the money using a ladle. It looks easy but it’s really hard once you tried it.
We spend our first day of the year with the family and very happy. Though I know it’ll be more happier if my husband is here. As usual he wasn’t able to call because he is on duty during that time. I got to talk to him this afternoon. He said he spent his new years eve by sleeping because they will be very busy in the next day.

Worried for the next days to come
As we all know, coronavirus is still around in every corner of our planet. With thousands of still being infected everyday we should never be complacent with following all the health protocols. We should keep on doing the things we got used to do for almost two years now, such as washing our hands frequently, maintaining social distancing and most of all wearing face masks when going out.
Just because the daily cases are slowly going down in our country we should never be complacent with it. If we are going to check some of daily cases most specially in the US their number surge up. Just a little disclaimer I am not an expert regarding this, but last Christmas day, I got to talk to some of my husband’s relatives who were frontliners. My husband’s cousin is a public nurse as well as his wife. Both of them were assigned in health centers located in the city of Manila. But during the early pandemic situation, all health centers were closed so both of them, were assigned at the public hospitals where covid patients were taken.
They share some of their experiences and their everyday life all throughout the pandemic times. I remember the news about Sta. Ana hospital where a lot of resident nurses were infected with the virus. Ate Tetet the wife of Kuya Junjun who is my husband’s cousin was assigned there due to lack of nurses who were quarantined at the same time. She told us it was really scary that time, she had no choice but to do her responsibilities as a public nurse. It was very hard and exhausted, but for the sake of their sworn duty to the country they didn’t give up nor quit. Although according to her some of their colleagues didn’t make it until the end because they end up resigning from their post.
Now going back to why I am worried this time because, right now, my husband Anthony is in the US. As we all know from the recent news the daily covid cases there are going upward. And what I am concerned about is that there was an outbreak within the cruise ships. Just a week ago, one of the biggest cruise ship today, which is the Symphony of the seas recorded 55 cases of covid positive patients. Because a lot of of crew members were close contacts with the positive patients, most of them were quarantined, thus making their manpower weak. My brother in law Julius was transferred to that ship, (Symphony of the Seas) just days before Christmas. Anthony was hoping he could be with his brother on this celebration because at least even though they were away from us, there’s a close family beside him. Well, we can’t really control what’s gonna happened next.
In all fairness, the health protocols inside the cruise ship is strictly implemented. In the early weeks of this month, Anthony felt some symptoms of the virus, dry cough and sore throat. They were advised to report any symptoms they felt immediately at the medical team so that they can assist them. Once you reported it, you’ll be isolated from work and be quarantined until they got the result of your swab test, once it is negative, you’ll be advised to get back to work. Anthony was quarantined for two days because he got negative result from his swab test.
On the other hand, once you were a close contact to a positive patient, you’ll be quarantined for the next 14 days. My brother in law, Julius has been isolated twice already. It was actually a nice way to relax but a little boring because you have to stay inside your room for the next 14 days. The good catch is that you’ll still be receiving your salary while on quarantined. Right now, Julius contacted a positive patient again for the third time in the new ship and began his isolation just this day. We were actually teasing him while we were talking to him regarding his recent situation. Although we know it isn’t funny because he might be infected one of this day, but at least we can make him laugh and not to think too much of the situation. I know he will eventually get well after the quarantine session is over.
I can’t help but to be worried again because, today as I looked at the Department of Health twitter account the cases is starting to go up. I hope even though we are allowed to go outside please don’t forget to follow the healthy measures in order for us to not get infected. Keep in mind as long as the virus lives we aren’t safe from it. Let’s just hope that this virus will go away as the new year begins next week.

Unplanned Road trip to Tagaytay

Hello beautiful friends! Finally I am home so therefore,I have time to make an article for today. I together with the kids have been out in the house for the past 3 days. On the 25th of December, we went to my husband’s relative, it was actually our yearly christmas gathering, but last year was an exemption because of covid virus. The kids received their gifts from their uncles and aunts. It was also a day full of laughter and “chikas” (chit chats) as we barely meet the rest of my husband’s relatives this year.
Moving forward to the next day which is Sunday, the kids and I went to my in laws house because we’re supposed to be at the cemetery which is our yearly christmas visit to my late mother in law. Unfortunately it didn’t happen because my brother in law from Laguna came.
Honestly, I wasn’t ready to meet them personally because of some reasons which I already stated in my past articles. So I just stayed at my sister in law house for the whole time, while the kids were at my father in law house to meet their other cousins. I know they enjoyed the short time together as they played some games.
We stayed there until evening because we still had plans to go outside, until my youngest brother in law suggests that we go to Tagaytay, well, who are we to object. However the timing and weather didn’t goes along well, we ended up eating some fries at Mcdonalds as they accompanied us back home. While we were eating that time, we’re talking about pursuing our plan of going to Tagaytay the next day before we got busy for the next couple of days in preparation of New year celebration.
The next morning, at around 11 in the morning, we left our house for the third consecutive days. We reached my in laws village by 1130. We just waited for the rest of the gang to be ready. My brother in law can’t come with us because of his duty at work, instead he prepared us lunch so that we’re full enough before leaving the house.
All of us we’re so enthusiastic and energetic for the short road trip. By 2 o’clock in the afternoon, we’re all settled and ready. My youngest brother in law, Renz will be our driver, so first we went to gasoline station to fill up some gas. He turned on the map on his phone to looked for a better route in going to our destination. We were supposed to be at a museum, unfortunately it was close during Monday so we went to People Park in the sky instead.
We were at Tagaytay road at 4 in the afternoon. Another 15 to 20 minutes before we reached our final destination. There were a lot of people by that time, some were going home already because it was already late. The parking lot were full of cars so we have to wait a little longer until we can finally parked. The moment I went out of the car, the cold weather welcomes me. It was really cold but tolerable. I think this is the time of the year that the weather in Tagaytay is extra cold, because the last time I got here was in September 2017 that time it wasn’t that cold, compare to yesterday.
After paying the entrance fee of 30 php per person, we all went inside and enjoyed the overlooking view in front of us. I’ve been in this place for at least 4 times, but I am still amazed by the view of mountains and trees in front of me. I can’t stop clicking my phone in order to get the best shot that I am going to share in my social media accounts.
I still can’t believe that after the Taal eruption in January 2020, this whole place was covered with ashes. All the green things turned into grey. I thought I would never see these beautiful view once again.
We spend the rest of the time taking pictures and enjoying the cold weather. This kind of weather is very rare if you are living in the city. We finished taking pictures when the dark night takes over because we can no longer see the beautiful view in front of us.
As we go out of the park, there were only few cars left in the parking area. I bought strawberry taho for the kids and it’s good than what we have tasted in 2017.
We stay a little longer because some of us need to take a restroom break before we can go home. My sister in law brother bought some sweet desserts such as “yema” and “espasol” which we all eat inside the car.
Going home was a little scary because that time the fog went down and we can’t see anything on the road except for fog. It was very dark as well and even the car windows were full of moist. With God guidance, the whole drive going down was safe.
We decided to eat our dinner, thus we were looking for a restaurant nearby preferably with the famous “bulalo” on menu. It was really cold and hot soup is perfect for the dinner. Few minutes later, Renz found one, he stopped the car, and we all went out. We were all starving that the moment our food was served, we eat right away.
After settling the bills, we all went inside the car to go home. It’s 8 pm and the whole ride is going to take 2 hours, taking the expressway. I took a little nap, and when I woke up we’re back in Manila. We dropped by at a coffee shop to buy some refreshments before going home. But since I am no longer taking coffee, I ordered the one without caffeine. However the aroma of the coffee is quite tempting. I went out hurriedly after getting my order before I could change my mind.
Renz took us home first before they could go home, since he and my sister in law are living in the same village.
It was an unplanned trip, however it was full of fun and kinda refreshing. I hope we could do more of this next year, along with some of our loved ones.

Spending our Christmas 2021
Hello everyone, sorry for being mia (missing in action) the past day. As you all know this is the time of the year that everyone is so busy because of the most awaited celebration in a year. After our gift giving activity on the 23rd of the December, I was busy wrapping the special presents I have for some of the relatives. I wasn’t able to buy them on physical store, so most of them were bought online. After finishing it, I forgot that I haven’t included my christmas present for the boys. I could only blame it on my forgetfulness.😅 Yesterday I went out to to the mall nearby and hurriedly bought the simple presents I have for the boys. They wanted slippers because their old slippers were broken and the other one is too small already. Since I am already at the mall, I also dropped by at the supermarket to buy the things I forgot to include in my last grocery. As usual I can see a lot of people including me doing the last minute shopping.
After that, I went home right away. We took our lunch, and began wrapping my boys gift for christmas. I put all the christmas presents under our christmas tree. I then began making my own graham cake with fruit cocktail, it was supposed to be mango graham but I can’t see any ripe mangoes in the supermarket so I had no choice but to replace it with fruit cocktail. After it was done, I put it inside the freezer. It was in the afternoon when I decided to make a leche flan. Another yummy dessert which I really like. Before I began cooking it, I went out again to buy some pizza. It’s my kids request and I guess it will really compliment with carbonara which I am about to cook in the evening. The pizza restaurant was just nearby, so instead of ordering it in the food application I choose to order it personally. When I got home this time, I prepare the ingredients for the leche plan. While I was preparing it, I was also cooking our dinner because were supposed to be in the church by 730 in the evening.
We went to the church first before preparing anything for our simple christmas celebration. We made it on church before it started that’s why we find an available seats. After the mass has ended, we greeted each other Merry Christmas. We took some photo in the nativity inside the church like we usually do, except for last year since kids weren’t allowed inside.
When we got home, I change my clothes and started preparing the foods I need to cook. First is that I resume cooking the leche flan. It’s a yummy dessert made from eggs and milk. Just mix it together and then steamed it for a couple minutes and it’s done. Next thing I cooked is the the carbonara pasta. I boiled the pasta first, and then cooked the pasta sauce. Put some parmesan cheese and topped it with crispy bacon which I cooked earlier. I fried some chicken as well for the kids. After that I asked the kids to come down and eat. We offered a little prayer and greeted Jesus a happy birthday. I wanted to set up our videoke but the whole village is so silent, it was like everyone is sleeping already. Next thing I heard was some loud sound from outside, I think some fireworks or firecrackers indicating it’s officially 25th of December.
I took some pictures together with the boys which I will be sending to my husband. Honestly this christmas is a little lonely because we missed him dearly. Last year, he was with us, so hopefully by next year he can join us again. This is the sad reality if someone in your family is working overseas, you can’t really feel the fun and joy during this season because someone is missing. Just like last night. He was also working that’s why he cannot called nor give message. He was able to message me after his duty was over and I was already sleeping by that time. While everyone is happy being complete, we were trying to be, for I know time will come that we will all be together again specially in times like these.

Today, we experience and enjoy the spirit of giving
Hello lovely friends and to my new readers. I have mentioned in my early article this month that I am going to make a gift giving project this year, courtesy of my read.cash earnings from December 1st until 15th. I already computed the total earnings on that particular days and I earned $48 however, the price of bch keeps going down thus I only accumulated a total of $33. I already sent the money on my bitcoin.com wallet and then transferred it to my coins.ph account.
I also converted it to our local currency before the price of bch goes lower. The total amount I converted from the present price of bch that time is 1613.51 php. I have 500php left in my wallet that’s why if in case my budget exceeded, there wouldn’t be a problem. On the 21st day of December, my kids and I went to the grocery nearby. It was actually the first time my kids goes with me to the grocery ever since the pandemic started in 2020. We were supposed to be in SM Fairview so that they can go to a bigger mall rather than the small one near our place. I changed my mind because it was a little late already. It was 530 pm when we went out of the house. The grocery store is just 5 to 7 minute away by walking and about 3 to 5 minutes if you wanted to ride a public transportation that includes a little congestion. Since my kids are used to walking, we reached the Zabarte Mall in a little while and passed by the overpass where I saw the people who will be my beneficiaries for the gift giving project.
My kids were a little excited because it’s gonna be their first time going in a mall after a very long time. My youngest keep on asking if it is really allowed for the kids to get inside, I assured him it is. We went to the grocery store, and both of them wanted to try pushing the cart each as they missed doing it. But I stopped them telling them not to touch things like they used to do. They then realized there is still pandemic after I sprayed both of their hands with alcohol. I keep reminding them to wear their face mask properly and keep the social distancing from the people around.
After a while, I let them choose the food they wanted as we continue roaming around the grocery. I looked for my target noche buena package, which is spaghetti pack, corned beef and cheese. Unfortunately there’s only 7 packages available on my preferred brand. I take it all and said to myself, I will go the other grocery store which is on the other side of the road the next morning to complete my 10 packages.
Yesterday, I went to the other grocery store to complete my “noche buena” package however, they run out of stock too. My original plan is to make 10 packages but since I can’t complete it, I added additional items to my noche buena package. The budget for each package was supposed to be 200php each, so as I added more items, the total price of each is now 250php. And beside the packages were quite heavy so I decided to just make it 7. Before I went to sleep last night, I took them out and started packing them. I feel happy for it’s gonna be my first time doing this act using my hard earned money from read.cash. I know this is just a small project of mine, and honestly I am not looking forward for something in return. The joy and the smile from the people who will be rewarded is enough for me.
Later in the afternoon, I asked my kids to come with me so that we can distribute the our simple gifts to the needy. But right before that, someone knocked on our gate, I recognized him, he was our old neighbor, they rented in one of house in our village but this year they moved out for some reason. His mother is a fishball vendor and she is working hard so that she can provide for her children. So his son dropped by and offered me coconut macaroons, I bought one and in return I gave the one noche buena package to him. He was so thankful, because he told me he was only there to sell his goods but he got something in return.
After he left, that was around 43o in the afternoon, I got ready and told my boys to be ready before the sky get darker. We went out of the house at exactly 5 in the afternoon. The package is really quite heavy, that’s why I asked my kids to help me. We only have 6 left because as I mentioned a while ago, I give one to our old neighbour who came earlier. When we came to the location, there were only few who were there. So we give them our simple gifts and greeted them a Merry Christmas. They were all smiles and thankful for that simple gesture.
We have only given 3 packages out of 6 in that area, so my kids and I walked to the other side of the road to look out for someone whom we can give the other 3. Unfortunately, I can’t find the other people whom I’d like to give these noche buena packages. I decided to keep it then bring it next time. We got home before the clock strike at 6 pm. I give the one package to the guard on duty on our village, and now I only have two left. Hopefully I can give it tomorrow when I go out.
It was a very nice experience and I am glad the boys are with me. I want them to know that Christmas is not all about receiving gifts, but it is also the time of giving most specially to those who are in need and with less resources. Before I end this article up let me share a beautiful quote about giving by Mother Theresa

Here comes our New Year’s eve tradition
After Christmas celebration the next thing were gonna celebrate is welcoming the new year. Last time, I talked about some of the traditions we used to do during Christmas here in our country. Now I am going to discuss some of our country's new year eve tradition. Most of these were the things our ancestors have done and passed on to the next generations of the family. And most probably than not, these will passed on for the next century.
Wearing Polka dots
They said, wearing polka dots design shirt, dress or anything that has a polka dots design on New Year’s eve will bring luck and lots of money to the one wearing it. I don’t know if it’s true but most of the elders in the house when I was young are believers of that. So it has stuck in my young mind to wear polka dots design clothes on New Year’s eve, although when I grew up I didn’t followed it much. Maybe the reason why luck is not on my side. Guess I should start wearing it starting this year.
Making so much noise
The more you make noise, the more you are casting away all the bad lucks for the coming new year. Aside from all the fire crackers, fireworks display, we can make noise by using pots and pans. The roar of the engine cars will also be heard during this time of the year. Kids are busy making sounds too using their handmade trumpets as they aren’t allowed to use fire crackers.
Fireworks Display
This is another form of noise but more pleasing in the eyes. Who would never love the colorful fireworks forming different shapes in the sky. Using fireworks has adapted from Chinese tradition to take away all the bad lucks and bad spirits. Unfortunately only few people can afford to have fireworks so some of us opted for a more cheaper way to welcome the new year, by using the dangerous firecrackers. Who would never forget the super lolo, goodbye Philippines, whistle bomb and so much more firecrackers which has been banned for years because of the dangers it brought. Honestly, eversince this was implemented, the cases of fireworks related at the hospital during new year’s eve has been reduced.
12 round fruits
This is probably the famous or the very popular traditions in our country. This is in connection with welcoming luck for the next 12 months that’s why we have to prepare 12 fruits preferably fruits that are round in shape. Watermelons, oranges, pears, kiwi, apples and many others to complete the lucky 12 numbers that represents each month of the year. Whenever I go to the market I always make sure to bring a list of what fruits to buy so that I will never missed a single fruit. I am sure a lot of my countrymen can relate to this one.
Festive Feasts
Oh how can we ever forget the best serving dishes on the table this year. For those who have a big family this is the great time to prepare all the yummy dishes to be share by each member of the family. They say that the reason why families are spending extra during this celebration is because of the beliefs from the ancestors that you wouldn’t be starving or run out of food for the next year. As of now, I am still thinking of what dishes to cook for this celebration, but pork barbecue will always be present at the table. I just love it.
Full Containers
Honestly I only knew this tradition through my husband. Before the new year started every container in the house such as rice, salt, sugar and a lot more should be full to bring more prosperity and luck all throughout the coming year. So on my next grocery time, I better not forget to buy all these things so that I can full each container in the kitchen. I hope the luck will never forget us.
Avoiding Chicken and eating sticky foods
Another tradition that I learned from my husband's family. According to my husband, the reason why chicken dish is prohibited during New Year’s celebration is because chicken have wings, the luck might fly away, so better avoid serving it. On the other hand, sticky foods is also part of Filipino tradition which is according to Chinese will bring good luck. You’ll see a lot of “tikoy” in the supermarket even though it isn’t Chinese New Year yet because of this tradition that we Filipinos have adopted from Chinese Community.
Closing Thoughts
As you can see, almost all of the traditions we have were adopted from Chinese community because not too long ago, before Spaniards invaded our country, our ancestors were busy trading with the Chinese people. I guess, that’s the reason we had a lot of beliefs and it was passed on to every generations of the family.

Thanks to my son's phone, I can now use read.cash again
First and foremost I'd like to tell you that I miss you. It's been two days that I wasn't able to open my account. Well let me share what happened in those two days.
I know every read.cash users from the Philippines can relate well to my story for today. As you can see I wasn't able to write an article for the past two days because of the unknown reasons. Two nights ago, as I usually do, I checked my account to read the pending articles on my notification, click the thumbs up button and write a related comments on the each article. At first, I was worried because suddenly, it seems like the site is out of order. Whenever I checked my balance it keeps on blinking and the pictures aren't loading as well. I didn't mind it, because I thought maybe the site is on maintenance and maybe after an hour or so it'll comeback better the next morning.
The next morning, when I woke up I hurriedly check it again and was sad to find out it was the same from last night. I wonder how others can still post their article but I can't. I am wondering if whether I am banned or rated as spam, things like that. Upon checking my noise account few of users there were sharing the same sentiments regarding their read account. I was just silently lurking about their post about it and I then assumed that only users from the Philippines and other countries as well were having a hard time logging in or having difficulties using the site, while other can freely used it.
I am being positive that maybe another series of maintenance is undergoing that's why I wasn't worried at all. Then on the afternoon I saw the new update which is the dark theme. When I went back to my account it was already there but to my dismay, it isn't working fine yet. The pictures on every article isn't loading and the upvote, like, and comment section is prohibited. I refreshed my phone for many times already, restart it but nothing has changed. The last thing I did was logged out my account. I guess it was a wrong move because I can no longer logged in after that. I really thought it was time to say goodbye to my account.
The following day, the usual thing I did was to search for read.cash related post on my noise account and glad I found @BCH_LOVER post about using another browser in order to access the site. I tried downloading the duckduckgo on my phone and tried accessing into it, but it was still the same in my previous browser. I even tried the firefox browser but nothing has changed. The last option I have is to open in it on the desktop but it's not working either. I wanted to give up and accept the fact that I can no longer used it.
I was annoyingly frustrated upon it. I just post something positive on my noise account to counterfeit the negative thoughts I am feeling that moment. Then I remember, there's still one final option that I haven't done. Using my son's cellphone which he is using for his online class. I tried downloading the duckduckgo browser and finally I was able to log in which made me really happy. Fortunately I was able to save my seed phrases in my gallery that's why I didn't encountered losing fund from it.

We can’t live alone
Hello what’s up guys? It’s the 18th day of the month and yes we are 7 days or 1 week away for the most awaited celebration of the year. It’s Christmas time, the best time of the year. Do you agree? Well earlier, we finally made it to anticipated mass in the nearby parish. We almost didn’t make it because it was raining just like yesterday but then my boys and I were eager to attend even though it’s raining. When we got to the church, the rain got heavier, but all the church goer didn’t mind. Good thing there was a tent outside the church, so everyone was safe from the rain.
We got there just in time before the mass started. To be honest, this is the first mass I attended in a while. I can’t attend before because kids aren’t allowed yet. I remembered last year, we attended the Christmas and New Year mass in the car parked outside the church. We can’t leave the kids alone at home so we had no choice but to take them with us. Going back to the mass earlier, since it was my first time again, I listened attentively to the priest.
*No one can stand alone*
This was the priest first word, right there and then I knew where the homily will take. He says that everyone of us needs companionship because we can’t make without getting a help from others. He compared it to the cousins Mary and Elizabeth. According to the priest interpretation about the time Mary visited her pregnant cousin was because to help her in a way because as we all know Elizabeth got pregnant very late. Just like in our life, we can’t do things alone, we oftentimes need help from the others most specially if it’s a group project. They said two heads is definitely better than one.
*We need others to appreciate us*
Getting an appreciation from others can motivate us. Do you agree with that? Personally I do, as you all know I am into felt crafting. Whenever I do some projects and the clients make a comment on how pretty it is, I can’t helped myself to feel overwhelmed. I know some of you are like that too, so if you think someone deserves the appreciation never hesitate to tell it to them. You’ll never know how your words might change the mood they are feeling at the moment.
*We need others to share our joy*
No matter how joyful your situation is or how blessed you are in your chosen career, it’ll be all meaningless once you celebrate it alone. We need our family, friends, special someone whom we can share the joy and have fun. Life is too short to spend it alone and having no one beside you. Isn’t it much enjoyable if you can share your achievements with the people who truly care for you. Have you watched the movie ***Cast Away*** by Tom hanks, it’s a great movie to be honest. In the movie where he was trapped in an island, he had made a lot of achievements, from starting a fire, catching fish and so on, in order to survive but in the end he was lonely because no one is there to celebrate his little accomplishments.
*No man is an island*
The priest ended his homily saying the popular quote ***“No man is an island”*** **a**nd I couldn’t agree more. My boys favorite movie back when they were still a toddler was the famous lightning mcqueen ***“Cars”*** I can no longer recall how many times we’ve watched this movie back then. The story is about Mcqueen a champion race car who is full of himself. He considered himself a one man show, that’s why almost all of the staff in his team left him. At the end of the movie, he realized that every part of the team is important and his success happened because of the great effort and teamwork of all.
*Bottomline*
I can’t helped but to reminisce the day I went to Manila to study. I thought I couldn’t make it, maybe because of my dreams to finish it no matter what it takes I achieved it. But the great part was that, my relatives, friends, and special someone was there to motivate me and inspired me. Last but not the least, they were there ready to give me support physically, emotionally and financially. I honestly can’t make it without their help, and God’s guidance. I owe them big for making my life complete.
This was supposed to be my article yesterday but because I was so tired from my daily activities I didn’t finished it. Once again, thank you everyone for the unending love and appreciation from all of you. May we all have a day full of love and grace from the Lord above.

The article for today is intended to make you laugh and will be full of good vibes. I know a lot of the read.cash users have written about this stuff, so I thought why not make one. I actually wanted to make a version of it, but I cannot find the link, not until last night, while I was browsing my facebook account, a friend of mine posted about it in her timeline. The picture indicates a statement that says your next years will look like. I was laughing out loud with the result and the next thing I knew, I was already checking mine too.

OMG! as in OH MY GOSH! I can’t imagine being pregnant every year. Well, I was pregnant in 2009 and 2010, that is two years in a row, but in 6 years, I don’t think I can do that. Having two kids that almost the same age was so tiring, what more if it’s six. Just ridiculously funny.
Since I was enjoying it, I explore to some of the questions in it and tried every question even though I know all of it were just for fun. Let’s begin.

See how good my blessings will be in 2022. How I wish it’ll be closer to reality, but I know it isn’t, First and foremost, I am not working so how can my salary increases. And so with the other blessings each month. Among those blessings can the $100,000 be come true. I need funds so that I can travel and relax. Just kidding guys, still travelling sounds good right? Well it’s also expensive but if you have the money, then go for it.
Everyone has two sides, what’s yours?
I am kinda confused with these results. So does that mean that I have two personalities. I want my family happy, yet they weren’t important to me. Is my interpretation right? Hahah! But hey, speaking of two sides, I have a cousin who was diagnosed with bipolar condition. It’s a mental disorder which is curable. I guess her family background as well as her surroundings was the culprit why she suffered that condition. There were times she was so happy and then the next times she is so sad. Glad she is okay now with her own family.

Another OMG! (Capslock uli para intense) Am I supposed to win a lotto with a ultra mega super jackpot to achieve this? Or maybe the price of bch will rise to the moon and will make me a billionaire one day. Haha! I know the game was just being exaggerated with the results and it’s doing it purpose perfectly to make every users laugh and enjoy.
What will my future look like?
Can Santa grant my wish now to have this cutest baby girl? On my third pregnancy, we were all wishing for a baby girl since I have 2 boys already. Unfortunately it didn’t push through because I suffered miscarriage on my third month. It was a painful story which I have already shared on my past articles. Sometimes, during conversations with hubby, we can’t keep talking how will our baby will look like. My first born child is a carbon copy of him, while the second looks a lot like me when he was still a baby, now he is beginning to look like his father too. So I wonder if the Lord grants us another child, will she look exactly at the picture above? Nah! Of course not. I am just imagining.
Who is my celebrity look alike?
Such an honor to be your look alike Lara Croft. Hahaha! This game result is such a boost in my confidence. And then when I clicked the try again button I looked like Mr. Bean, my confidence went down the drain. Nevertheless, the game is super funny and definitely gives me a good laugh. Gift Giving Project using my Read.cash earnings
It’s the 16th day of December, the first day of dawn mass or “simbang gabi”. I wasn’t able to attend the anticipated mass last night because I thought it would start at 8 in the evening just like the previous years prior covid. I was out yesterday to picked up something . I also went to grocery, so when I got home it’s already 7 pm. The church is a walking distance from home so I was hoping we could attend the 8 pm mass. To confirm the schedule, I checked the facebook account of the parish church nearby and I was sad because they were already starting, apparently they started at 7 pm this year. My plans of making “simba gabi” completed this year wasn’t gonna happen. I prefer antipated mass because I am more attentive during the mass unlike waking up in the morning where I feel so sleepy.
*What’s the plan?*
Now, speaking of plans, if you could still remember on my 2nd article this month, I mentioned about the gift giving I will do for this year. My earnings starting from December 1st up until yesterday in this platform will be used for my small project for a cause. My plan is to give random people, mostly the less fortunate one, a noche buena package. In our country, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without having a noche buena, unfortunately some cannot afford to have a decent one.
*Who will benefits?*
My beneficiaries are those people who lived begging for money in the overpass nearby. I always see them whenever I am out for grocery because I need to pass them to be able to go to the other side of the road. I don’t usually prefer giving them money, as much as possible I would rather give them food so that they can eat it, but there are times if I really don’t have food to give I will leave a penny so they can buy one. I know we shouldn’t tolerate them, so that they should work harder to earn money for a living, but how can they do that when they’re already old and last night I saw someone who is disable. Tell me how can he work with that situation.
Actually there has been stories about some people who use this kind of modus operandi to extort money from people like the one we see in some public transportation. It has been revealed in tv show which I can no longer recall the title. And I feel disappointed because if you would look closer at it, these people who intended to fool people by extorting money are in good shape and young. They can surely find a decent job rather than fooling a lot of people.
*What’s in the package?*
Yesterday when I go to the grocery, I looked for the price of the items I wanted to include in the noche buena package. My initial plan is to buy 300php worth of noche buena package but then I thought it will only benefits few people since the budget isn’t that big. So I lower it down to 200 php per package so it can accommodate more people. The package would include spaghetti pack (spaghetti noodles and sauce), a can of corned beef, a box of cheese, loaf bread and juice. Hopefully the 200php or approximately $4 is enough so I can buy these things. Consequently, upon looking at the prices yesterday, I think it will fit.
*The budget and the date of gift giving*
Upon checking my articles of December up until yesterday, the total money I was able to earned was $48.47 unfortunately because the bitcoin cash price keep going down, the total earnings I got on my wallet was only $33 dollars. I will just add another $7 to it from my noise earnings to make it $40 dollars. With the current rate I guess it will be converted to 2000 php, thus with the budget of 200 php per package, I will be able to give it to 10 deserving people. When? I am planning to give it by the 23rd of the month. The location is near our place. I have been planning a project like this even before but due to lack of finance I wasn’t able to do so. This time around, I will make sure to make it happen.
*Closing thoughts*
Christmas is the season of giving. And it has been said that “it’s better to give than to receive” With that being said, I am wholeheartedly doing my part to the community because of the blessings through earnings I receive from noise and read cash. It’s time to share and give back to those who have nothing or less fortunate people around us. I believe they too deserve to have something to put on their table on Christmas eve.

What I want for Christmas
It’s the mid month of the year, and we are 10 days away for the biggest celebration of the year. Are you excited for that? Me just a little bit. Anyway the other night, I asked if anyone has done making their wish lists for this year in one of my post at noise . I am glad some of my noisemates over there mentioned some of their wishes for this year. I’ve also read a few articles here, stating their wishes for this coming holidays. Thus today, let me share what’s on my list too.
*Good Health for everyone*
First on my list is good health for everybody. This year is gonna be the second pandemic christmas. Unlike last year, this time some restrictions are being lifted up because of low cases of virus infection reported everyday. Kids were now allowed to go out, and they were enjoying every bits of it. They’ve been deprived all these months by going out to the places they used to be during this time of the year. Even though that is now the case, everyone shouldn’t be complacent and looked out for the health of everyone in the house. Health protocols should still be implemented now that the new Omicron variant is detected. Many has lost their lives this year and I feel sad for them. We don’t want another lives to be lost in the next days, weeks, months or years so let’s take care of our health.
*Happiness*
The world’s current situation because of covid make us sad and lonely. Many suffered under depression and anxiety because of losing job and savings. And the worst is losing someone dear to you makes this year celebration a whole lot different. Suddenly your christmas will never be the same again because someone is missing permanently and will never come back. I know circumstances like this will never be prevented or avoided but I wish despite all of this, we may find time to be happy in this most anticipated season.
*Love and Forgiveness*
One of my favorite christmas song is the song “Give love on Christmas day” by Jackson 5. The lyrics of the song is very meaningful. It is one of the song I am sure you keep on singing too, whenever the christmas celebration is near. Let’s spread love rather than hate in this time of giving. This is the time of the year that we need to reconcile with someone we had conflict with. Time to forget and forgive the people who has done something bad to us. Forgiveness is something special we can give to all those people that have hurt us. It may be a little harder but it will definitely give us a peace of mind. And if the Lord can forgive us for all our sin, I guess we can give it too.
*Success and more blessings*
This is my last wish for this year. May everyone of us received all the success in life and riches that we all deserve. Can the bitcoin cash soar high please? I am sure if that will happen, I guess a lot of us will be jumping for joy. Anyway we all want to be successful and be rich in one point of our life. It only changes as years goes by because of the circumstances that’s happening around us. So many obstacles we need to overcome before we can reached the high level of success we ever wanted. Confession of a working student

Who among you have experienced working while being a student at the same time? Well if you are, I know you can really relate well with what I am going to share for today’s article.
*The beginning*
After I graduated from secondary education, I went to Manila to pursue my college education as promised by my uncle. He told me that he knew someone who can offer me an scholarship, unfortunately I didn’t make it. I decided then to stopped my education and pursue it the next year. I was able to enroll in the next year but due to financial problems I had to stopped again. I decided to move out at my uncle’s care and transferred to my aunt’s house in Marikina to start working so that I can earned and fund my college education. Eventually, I got hired as a service crew in Frenchbaker at the age of 18. Since then after the contract ended,I have to look for another part time job. To cut the long story short, after earning a decent amount, I finally decided to pursue my college journey.
I took an entrance exam in PUP sadly when the result came out I can’t find my name on the list of passers. As we all know, the tuition from this university is very affordable with a quality education. After finding out the results I almost give up, but someone told me about another state university in Manila, it’s almost the same as PUP because their tuition fee was less than 500 php per semester. I took my chance and luckily I passed the entrance examination in EARIST. During that time I was working as a production crew in Dunkin Donuts. Just a little interesting fact, that is where I met my husband. Ok, commercial ended.
*Being a student*
That same year, I finally enrolled and met my classmates for the first time. I was a little awkward because some of them are three years younger than me. Most of them called me “ate” and it was definitely fine with me. At first, it was really hard because, I needed to report on my duty early in the morning and then in the afternoon I went to school to study. I am just glad during that time, heavy traffic wasn’t a major problem yet. I finished my contract and didn’t looked for another job, because I wanted to focus on my studies. I took up Bachelor of Science in Office Administration because the course I wanted wasn’t offered in that institution. Since I wanted to work in an office I chose the course that was related to it. I finished the first year without any failed mark.
*Being a part time worker*
Moving on to my second year, I looked for another part time job, although the school’s tuition fee is not expensive, I needed to pay for the books and my everyday allowance. The money that I got from my mother wasn’t enough to sustain my student’s expenses. Apart from that, I am living with my relatives so I share for food expenses in return of staying there. On my second year in college, I was then hired again as service crew in Red Ribbon. I met my ex boyfriend there, see even if I am busy with studies and work I still find time to cater my love life. Time management is the key. But as the saying goes “walang forever”(There’s no forever) we broke up after months of fooling around with each other. The conflict schedule between my work and school leads me to a failed mark in second year. After my contract ended, I decided to get focus again on my studies. And looked for another job on my 3rd year.
*Hardship and challenges*
In my 3rd year in college, I was hired as a cashier/crew in Tokyo Tokyo. This time, I didn’t have any complications with my schedule because the store’s location was just near the institution. I moved to my cousin’s house too, for my own convenient. The only problem I encountered this time around was that the major subjects were getting harder each year. But with perseverance and determination I was able to overcome it and without failing marks that year.
*Best job ever*
Finally when I was in my last year of college, my cousin recommended me to her part time job as a teacher aide in a preschool. I accepted it willingly because the owner has been considerate with my studies. It was a very fun job because I was able to assist the teacher in handling the kids. Honestly I am not into kids, but when you got used to it, the love you have for them just comes out naturally. I love the kids, the teachers and the school surrounding just make me feel at ease. And the good thing was that, I used my part time job hours in the preschool as a requirement for my on the job training for my course. Everything goes on smoothly that year until I graduated from my course.
*Closing Thoughts*
“If there’s a will, there’s a way”
This quote has been my motto in life. If you wanted to achieve one thing, you need to be determined to do something about it, finding every way you can to achieve it despite any difficulties. This maybe sound cringey to everyone, but this has been proven and tested. Getting a better result in the end, will make you feel satisfied and will make all your sacrifices worth it.

A well spent Sunday with family
Hello friends! How are you coping up with another busy week. I run out of topic to share and the part two of my last topic isn’t in my draft yet, so this time let me share a diary like article. I had a lot of fun yesterday so I was a lil bit busy, that’s why I wasn’t able to interact with some of you here, also the reason why I didn’t read some of the articles you’ve published. Please forgive me lovely friends, but today I’ll try to catch up as long as I have free time.
Yesterday I woke up late in the morning. The reason was that, I stayed late at night because of the shopee 12.12 sale. I waited for the free shipping of the items I wanted to buy. I have to control myself from checking out because I might run out of budget. Glad I manage it without spending too much. I stayed even late at bed and keep browsing on my phone’s application checking this and that which I usually does in the morning. I only get up when my phone’s battery is already low. I had a conversations with my virtual friend from noise at fb messenger with regards with the refill of free tips, it seems that the free tips went on freeze in the morning. So I told her we just have to wait that maybe some maintenance is going on.
Since I can no longer prepare breakfast, I click my food delivery application and choose the food which my kids will surely love. I asked my eldest son to cooked rice so we can eat right away when the food arrives. After about 25 minutes or so, it came so the boys and I went straight to the table and eat our brunch. The breakfast and lunch at the same time. When we were done with our food, my brother in law sent me a message if we wanted to join them today at the cemetery, I answered yes and told him we’re going to commute on going to their residence in QC which is only a 15 to 20 minutes ride away from us. He then told me, that they’re leaving after lunch.
Before 1 pm the kids and I were all set of going out and it’s gonna be the first time my kids will ride the jeep after almost two years. I am a little hesitant because of the present situation but my kids know too well what to do. My youngest has an alcohol with him that the moment we got off the jeep he sprayed their hands with it. They were being cautious and very careful with social distancing. Although social distancing was not properly observed in this kind of public transportation due to many passengers inside. Wearing mask and avoiding touching surfaces as much as possible can help.
We arrived in my father in law house in QC, and notice that the car isn’t there. I was worried that they might have leave us so I told my kids to checked the car on my sister in laws house which is just a few steps from my father in law house. They told me that they haven’t left yet, only that my youngest brother in law took the car that will bring us to the cemetery and hasn’t come back yet. So we got inside the house of my father in law and played with their dogs inside. I had a conversation with my father in law and my husband via video call while we were waiting for my youngest brother in law to come back.
Unfortunately, he can’t make it, so our visit to the cemetery was postponed. I took a nap for a few minutes and when I woke up, my husband’s nephew came and told me to go to their house and have some snacks. We all proceed there and eat the food they prepared which is supposedly our food at the cemetery. I had spend the whole afternoon with my sister in law talking about things about everything we’ve missed out. We stayed until we had our dinner. And then, when I checked the time it was almost 8 in the evening. I told my kids to finish what they were doing because we’re leaving in a while. I bid goodbye to my sis in law and went to my father in law who will drive us back home. The one he is using was actually our car, but since I don’t know how to drive, it stays with them whenever my husband is out of the country. The reason we can’t use it in the cemetery because we can’t fit all.
We got home before the clocks strike at 9 pm and just in time before our favorite Sunday evening show begins. I told my kids to take a bath and changed their clothes and after that we watch the show together. After the last episode I told them to sleep while I was busy updating my post in noise and replying to some of the comments in my previous article.
So that is how the kids and I spent our Sunday. We are looking forward for next week because we’ll have some activities again with the rest of the gang.

Sentiments of a drunken man
Is there a truth about “drunken man words are man’s sober thoughts” From my point of view people who are under the influence of alcohol can not behave properly, in fact these can cause further problems in the end. These can sometimes lead to a worst situation because through alcohol they have the confidence to say the words they wanted to say to someone. When we are under the influence of alcohol we sometimes can’t control our emotions and lead us telling our inner thoughts about this and that. Funny thing about it, is that we tend to forget the things we’ve done while we are so drunk the next day when we are already sober. But do we really forget it or we just felt embarrassed for the actions we’ve done the other night.
The reason for my today’s topic is because the other night, my husband Anthony video called me after he and his friend are done with their drinking session. He was really drunk and he knows it well too. Honestly though, Anthony has high alcohol tolerance and even though he has consumed a big amount of alcohol he has to stay sober because he needs to drive us back home. Fortunately, all these years he has been a careful driver and we always got home safe. But I guess we were just lucky because accidents can really happen anytime most specially if you are under the influence of alcohol. It is something that must not be tolerated that is why I always told him to minimize his alcohol intake. And one more thing, when he is very drunk, he is so talkative and never run out of topic to talk about. I hate it sometimes because I am so sleepy whenever it does happen. I just want to sleep but my roommate keep on talking and annoyingly disturbing my sleep. And then in the morning, he can’t remember anything he did from the last night.
Going back to our conversation via video call, just like when he is very drunk, he keeps on talking about his big brother. If you remember guys I wrote about my sentiments on his big brother. If you haven’t read it, please check it out here. Right now, Anthony stays civil with his “Kuya” he was really hurt because it seems like his brother has forgotten all the good memories they had together back when they were young. He has lost all the respect to him when his brother message them “magkalimutan na tayo” (forget about their brotherhood) in one of their group chats. He eventually deleted the message after some realizations but the pain and the hurt that everyone in the group chats felt remained. This was during pandemic time when only his big brother has an stable job. Funny thing was that, we weren’t even asking for any financial help at them. We had plans, because they were one of our last options if in case we run out of budget. And if ever, that would be the first time that we were going to ask a favor from them. Honestly, we haven’t borrowed any single cent from them, it was the other way around. After that hurtful comment from their big brother, I can felt that my husband was really hurt. He stays in the group chat but never joined in the conversations. The rest of his brothers stay connected out of respect for their big brother. It continued like that until last December, they bought another car. So apart from the one they are using which they finally fully paid, they got another one on that month. We really don’t care though, they can get many cars as long as they can pay for it, but the timing is just very off. You were enjoying your new car, while your brothers were having a hard time. Can they be at least be sensitive with the situation and have their new car next time instead. For heaven’s sake it’s pandemic and people were having financial struggles and there you are flaunting your new car, right after you’ve shown your true attitude about helping your brothers. And what is something funny, is that on that same year they sold their second hand car for the reason that they can’t have two cars because Kuya is working from home. So if that was the reason, why need to buy a new car? Well the answer to that question will be revealed in the next part of this article.

Are you fond of shopping too? Well as for me, since I had children I am very much careful in buying things because the money I have isn’t enough that’s why I ended up not buying anything. Most of the time, my husband is usually the one who buys things for my kids things such as clothes, shoes and some other things. Most of them were brought overseas because honestly it is pretty much cheaper to buy those things than here. So whenever there is a chance that he could go out, he would always spend it looking for the best buys he can finds. But this year, since their company has been so stricts with shoreleave, no one is allowed to go out the ship.

Foldable broom set
A friend from noise posted this on her account last month, which she purchased on last 11.11 sale. I find it cute that’s why I told her I would like to buy it too. She replied and give me the link of the shop. I eventually liked it so that I can easily find it whenever I log on my shopee application. Our old broom is almost giving up that’s why I guess this set will be a great replacement.
Dining set cover
Isn’t it cute? This year I would try to have some christmas theme on our dining area. This is just right for our dining set. I was hesitant at first but upon reading the reviews, it seems like a great buy too. And I am super excited to have it. The good thing is that I can also use it next year. I just have to keep it after this celebration.
Throw pillow cases
Just to complete my christmas set this year, I included the throw pillow case with christmas design on my cart. The problem is that my throw pillow needs replacement too because they’re no longer fluffy like they used to be. So in the next days I might add it before the last sale of the year begins.
Boxers Shorts
This is for my eldest son, who is complaining about his recent body development. I can’t believe adulthood seems so fast these generations. At 11 years old, he almost have the same height as me and his feet are even longer than mine. I sometimes get scared whenever he is talking to me because his voice changed too. So I am hoping this boxers short will make him comfortable.
Pajama Terno
My kids love wearing pajamas. So glad this set is widely available in shopee at a very affordable price. If you bought this on physical store, it will cost you more. Last year I bought many sets of these which I give to some relatives and to my kids as well. I added this on my list because were gonna have some pajama party on christmas eve.

And the last one was something for me. It’s time to buy something that I can comfortably wear everyday. The price is very affordable that’s why I am going to buy few of this, for me and the rest I might give it to my sister in law sisters. They’re been a part of my family too. I meet them when they were still very young now they’re all grown up. I am pretty sure they’ll like this.
Ending Thoughts
I usually set a certain amount to spend during holiday season for the food and the gifts. But this year I might spend a little more because of my extra savings that I have earned using noise and read. But of course, I have to keep in mind that I should spend money very wisely, but then I guess it’s okay to spend a little today, because as we all know christmas is the season of giving and sharing.

While I am enjoying to the sounds of him my husband is enjoying Maroon 5’s music on the other side of the room. Well honestly I also like Maroon 5’s music. The reason why I really love this song is because of its music video. Have you seen it guys? I remember the song back in 2015 when my youngest brother stayed in our house together with his family. My nephew always asked his mom to play this on youtube and right there and then it has become my favorite. Well about the music video, I can’t helped but to wish that somehow Maroon 5 can be my guest on my wedding day too. Lucky those bride and grooms, but of course we all know it was just for music video.

I have been on lss mode (last song syndrome) whenever I heard this playing on spotify and on youtube too. The melody of the song is really addictive and I can’t stop to put this on repeat. The song base from the lyrics is about a guy, who is still willing to give his relationship with his girl, unfortunately the girl didn’t want it. Even though lyrics of the song is quite sad, I still love it.

In on the music video, Adam’s wife, one of victoria’s angel Behati showed up with their baby girl. The song is very catchy too, and the voice rap of Cardi B. makes the song a lot more interesting.

Christmas traditions
When the month of December started, the countdown for the Christmas celebration also began. Well, who else isn’t excited for this once a year celebration. As you can see everyone is very excited with the gift giving articles I have read for the past days. And honestly I am enjoying reading those virtual gifts and the reasons behind it. The feeling of excitement I am feeling each day is growing, although I know Christmas this year wouldn’t be the same because someone is missing. The head of our home can’t make it this year because he had to finished his contract first. We’ll surely missed him a lot in this year’s celebration.
So for today’s blog I would like to tackle things that is still related to Christmas. These are some of the Filipino traditions we’ve been doing for the past years every christmas holidays. We missed some of it last year due to some restrictions that need to be followed and hopefully this year we will be able to do some of it.
Simbang Gabi
Simbang Gabi is one of the oldest tradition we’ve been doing for years. For my non Filipino readers simbang gabi or night mass is a devotional nine day series practiced by Filipino Catholics. It’s usually done in the dawn of December 16 up until December 24. Well as for me who hates waking up early in the morning, I opted to attend the anticipated “simbang gabi” at night. I find it more convenient and without any hassle of being sleepy inside the church. There’s this rumor that whenever you complete the nine days without being absent, you can make a wish and it will come true. Have you done it guys?
Bibingka ang puto bumbong
So after attending the “simbang gabi” what’s next? Well the sweetest bibingka and puto bumbong is waiting outside the church. Who wouldn’t like these sweet and delectable foods. Again I missed eating these last year, that’s why about last week, one of our neighbor offered me that his mother is making some made to order bibingka and puto bumbong for snacks. I ordered right away and the next day, we had it for our snacks. It was really yummy and when I posted it in my noise account everyone was commenting that they were craving for that too.

Caroling
I am pretty sure this is one of the best memories I had back when I was a kid. With a just makeshift intrument such as tambourine which is made from tansan (bottle cap) and some christmas carols song you’re off to go. I remember being with some childhood friends and sometimes with my cousins. We spent the night going from different houses within our barangay and collected some money. After the night is done, we divided the collected money and planned our next gig for tomorrow.😅

Christmas party
Christmas won’t be the same without any parties and all. The thing I love during christmas party aside from load of foods is the exchange gift. Who would never be excited with these “monito” and “monita” thingy. But as years goes by we became more innovative when it comes to exchanging gifts with our friends, families, and classmates. Gone are the days, that when you opened your gift you’ll find the usual photo albums, frames, handkerchiefs and other stuffs during exchanging gifts. Did you got those items too? But nevertheless, we should always remember that it’s the thought that comes not the value or price of the gifts.

Family Reunions
This time of the year served as the reunion for every family. Because of the busy days working though out the whole year, they find Christmas as the perfect time to gather and have some family gatherings. My husband’s family is quite big, so for the past years, they always set a date so we can be together most specially it became bigger because of the grandkids. And mostly kids were the happiest during this gathering they collected a huge amount of money from the elders.

Final Thoughts
I truly missed these christmas traditions we have for years. And right now this is gonna be the second year that we’re gonna missed some of it. We must still stick with the health protocols that is being implemented this year. Now that our daily cases is doing good, I hope by next year we can fully get back to the things we’ve used to do. What’s inside my phone?
Hello everyone! So for today's article I am up for another challenge which is quite popular with some of my read.cash friends and other users. I was actually excited to share to you what’s inside my phone, so yeah without further introductions let’s begin.
The screensaver
The picture in my screensaver is my little family. It was taken in 2019 when we went to my home province for a short vacation. It was my father’s 60th birthday that’s why we had that short vacation. Just a little trivia about the picture, it’s edited. How? Well, unfortunately the Mayon Volcano was having some tantrums and a little shy when we went there. She was hiding on the dark clouds too. So the photographer on the site, offered us that he can take some photo and at the same time do some edit so that the Mayon Volcano will be visible on our picture. We paid around 200 php which includes a printed 8x11 photo and at the same time they sent the edited photo on our email address. I copied the picture on my phto gallery and made it my screensaver.
The Wallpaper
So I guess I love my family well, that’s why they are in my wallpaper again😅 I just find it more inspiring whenever I see them while using my phone. While I keep on browsing through the different applications in my phone, they are just there reminding me, that hey you need to stop doing that and make some time for us. (Ganern!)
The first photo on my phone
This is the first photo on my phone. Actually the phone I am using is very special to me because my husband won it from a raffle draw, way back in 2018. It’s an iphone 8 plus. His co worker tried to buy it for $1000 dollar, but his love for me prevail😅 On the day that he gave it to me, I didn’t take any pictures because I was using my other phone then. The picture above is the mall nearest to us. It only takes 10 minutes ride away from home. I took this picture on the overpass because we went to the other mall which is on the other side of the road. I am the kind of person who loves taking pictures of random things, that’s why up until now this picture remains.
The last picture on my phone
While I am looking for an important document a while ago, I found this pictures. The baby picture on top is my first born child, while the other one is the old baby picture of my husband. The resemblance between the two is uncanny. There are times when my husband take a look at our first born, he can’t stop saying, like he was seeing his old self. The only thing that my son got from me is a birth mark same as mine located on his leg. The rest he got it all from his father even the allergies and his love for food.
The last video I’ve watched
I am a fan of watching singing competition on television. So as you can see, the last videos I’ve watched was from the “The Clash” a singing competition aired every Saturday and Sunday. The girl is Mariane Osabel, who is obviously my bet for the finals. I love her ever since she joined the other singing competition in the other network two years ago, and now she is back with a bang. I hope she win this time, well if not, I will still be supporting her, and wish her luck.

Holiday Decorations
Hello everyone! It’s another Manic Monday. New day of the week has begun and for sure everyone is busy preparing for work today. I woke up early since the online class of my youngest son starts at 730 am. Upon waking up, I took his phone and checked the messages and then their teacher told them that their wouldn’t be online class today. So instead of waking him up I let him sleep more and woke him later for his second class. I took this time to checked and write an article for today.
I really can think of what to share today, I actually run out of topic to share too. So I guess I’ll just just write about what I did on the previous days. Last Saturday I finally put up our christmas tree inside our home. Usually I set it up during November after the All Souls Day. I always wanted to see some christmas spirit even at this month. But last year, because of my handmade crafts, I was able to put it on the third week of December, just days before the celebration of Christmas happened. I was really busy that time because of so many orders that I received each day. Well anyway, putting up our christmas tree doesn’t take long because all the things I needed were just kept in the corner of our house. Last year, since I wanted a snow effect on my christmas tree I put some fiber fill on the tree, so it would looked like there is a snow in it.
This year, bitcoin cash has been a big part of my life, it inspired me to make some handmade felt ornaments with a bitcoincash logo on it. I made some pieces of it last week. It was actually very easy to do. I just made a pattern and then cut it from the felt cloth. The next thing I did, is put a glue and then handstitched it. And my bitcoin cash felt ornaments were all ready.
On Saturday afternoon, I took out the box where I kept our old christmas tree. I think we bought it last 2014 and if my math is correct this is gonna be the 8th year that were gonna use it. So far it is still good, and hopefully it will last for more years. I cleaned first the mess downstairs and then move my handmade crafts things to somewhere. The place where I am going to place our christmas tree is the place where I am doing my crafts. So after it was cleared, I now set up our christmas tree for this year. My first born tried to helped me by putting some ornaments in it. But I think he was just playing so I told him to stopped and let them go outside and played with their friends. After sometime, I put this and that. After being satisfied with my decor I took a picture of it and post it right away on my noise account.
There you go, the christmas spirit is finally inside our home. You can now pick some lollipop and candy on it, but sorry to disappoint you it’s not edible. By the way those candies were all handmade too. I also put some christmas lights on it and that night it was twinkling right before my eyes, and it feels really good. Oh before I forgot, I also hang some garlands on our stairs with some of my handmade decors too. I haven’t hang my handmade wreath on our front screen door yet because I don’t know how will I do it. I’ll figure it out this week.
Final Thoughts
We can always celebrate christmas even without decorations. It doesn’t also need to be super grand. We can always opt to do it yourself or we can simply use our old ones so we don’t have to spend a lot. We should always remember that Jesus is the main reason we are celebrating this season. We have to keep in mind that above all the great things this holiday may bring, the birth of Jesus Christ should never forgotten.

Respect is earned not given
I believe all of us have been taught by our parents and elders about giving respect to others specially to the ones who is much older than you. It has been an old practice in our everyday life to respect each and everyone because we all have different beliefs in life. In our country we have different religions so you could say that everyone has different point of view when it comes to this and that. But if people respected each other’s religion there would be no problem at all.
Now I come up with this topic because I really wanted to release this hard feelings I’ve been keeping on. I am confident to share this because I know no one from the family will be able to read this. This is about my husband’s oldest brother. I really have high respect for him ever since I got to meet him, because of many good things he has done for his family according to my husband’s story. I met him actually when he isn’t married yet and I can tell he was indeed a good brother. He loves to study too, in fact he is a graduate of UP, has double masterals and a PHD graduate in one of the university in Japan. With that I respected him more.
But when pandemic happened, the respect I have for him went down the drain. Honestly I am okay with my in laws family, except his family. Ever since he got married, there has always been an issue which caused by his wife. I can’t count how many times our family engaged in an argument because of them. That even a little problem about this and that, always seems to be a big problem to them. If I am going to lists down it all we might end up tomorrow. My husband’s siblings were all boys. Three of them including my husband were married, so I have two sisters in law. I got along well with the other one who is a teacher, meanwhile the other one, I respect her because she is somehow older than me. But honestly I am annoyed at her because she seems to hate us even from the start. Imagine the struggles we had for years. And right now I lost all the respect I have for her too, just like her husband. I know this isn’t a good attitude to possess but after years of belittling us I finally lost my last drop of respect for them.
Is it bad to talk about someone which you considered family for years? I can really say that sometimes blood is no longer thick than water. I heard a lot stories such this. When of all the people you’re hoping to help you when you have nothing, ignores you. During pandemic, my husband’s stopped working same as her two brothers. The youngest isn’t working yet. The only one who is working is his big brother who got a high paying job. It all started when he give us a 5000 php or approximately $100 because the big brother sold his second hand car, he isn’t gonna used it since he is working from home aside from that they have another car which his wife is using. It was all okay, until he wanted to know what have we done with the money? Like he was expecting we should have used it to earn profit like selling this and that. In the first place we didn’t expect money from him and we aren’t asking too. I remember also, during that time a cousin of my husband, gave us the same amount but we didn’t hear anything from him. In fact he was always vocal that if there’s anything he can helped he is willing to extend his hand.
When it comes to money why do people even your immediate family tend to ruin the relationship? Is money that important more than your family. Isn’t it supposed to be the opposite? Honestly my husband’s big brother says a lot of hurtful statements during that time, that makes us wonder where is the old him? Marriage life changed him, and a lot of his relatives can attest to that.
As of now, I stay civil to him, like last week he visited my father in law, for the first time after the pandemic began, he was living in Los Baños now with his family. Since we didn’t came, my youngest brother in law brought us some share of the food they brought. Of course, I messaged him, saying how thankful I am for the food. He told me that his wife cooked it, now how am I gonna say thanks to his wife, when she blocked us in fb for the reason I don’t know. That’s also one of the reason I am disappointed with her, you are supposed to be a big sister for us and yet you’re the one acting immature here.
Just last night, my husband told me about the message his big brother has for their cousin about posting something that has to do with politics. The message seems to be demanding too. I was like, if you want me to respect your personal views and choice, you should respect ours too. We all have different choices in life, if my views differs from you, isn’t the right thing to do is give respect to it and not forced someone to believe in what you believe.
I am sorry for venting out my feelings here regarding this. I hope you can bear with my article for today. Are we ready for regular classes?
Yesterday in one of my group chat with my in laws family, my brother in law, forwarded some photos. In the picture were some chairs arranged properly inside the classroom and the other pictures were parents who were busy cleaning the entire classroom. Prior to that his wife which is a public school teacher has been telling me that limited face to face is possible anytime this school year. Right after the sent photos, my sister in law then commented that the limited face to face at their school is going to start on Monday, December 6.
My sister in law is teaching in one of the public school in Quezon City. Their school is included among the 28 schools in Metro Manila who will resume face to face classes on Monday. Well according to her they have been undergoing some seminars on how to manage the new normal with regards with the coming in person classes. They’ve been briefing all the parents for the possible things that might happen when this new normal face to face classes begin.
So the question now, as a parent or guardian, are we really ready for this new normal face to face classes? As a parent of two elementary students I am all for it as long as it will be limited. I don’t think we are now ready for a regular in person classes. There are so many things needed to be considered but a limited students in each classes would be okay for me. It would be much better than having online class for the 3rd year in a row.
Honestly, I am a little disappointed with this online set up. About a week ago, the first quarter for the academic year is done. That also means all the activities in the module for each week should be passed along with summative tests. Some required it to be written in an intermediate pad paper, while other teacher forwarded a link in which you can directly answers the questionnaires. After the retrieval of answers sheet, the class adviser of my youngest son, forwarded a message in our group chat indicating the students who are incomplete in some subjects. My son was included in the list, so I checked on what subject he is missing. Upon checking it, I forwarded a screenshot to the group chat that my son has already comply with it. Their adviser thought that maybe the subject teacher hasn’t updated it yet.
The following week, she sent another names of the students who hasn’t completed some of the required activities and again she sent the list of the names from the other week, so the other parents including me forwarded the screenshot which is a proof that our kids has already complied with it. The adviser of my son, then responded that we should stop sending screenshots, because according to her, as a teacher they have other students to attend to and many things to checked on, saying in the end thanks to those who understand. I was like, after sending the proof that we complied with the activity, you reply as if we don’t understand the teachers situation. In the first place it’s your job as a teacher to do the checking because you get paid for it. While the parents and the guardians were trying their best to teach their children without getting any penny. So much being entitled huh.
Enough of my rants, I know everyone really suffered in this online set up, teachers aren’t used to teach children in the front of a laptop or cellphone. If they are given a chance to choose I am sure they would prefer teaching inside the classrooms. So yeah I am up for this limited face to face classes. I know we all have fears, hesitation, and objections regarding this, but for me I guess it’s about time that kids can now go to school for heaven’s sake. We can’t live our life staying in the four corners of our house. Children deserved to be taught in a proper classroom. They deserve a good education these teachers can only give. They deserve to have friends at school and most specially learn to study independently.
Closing Thoughts
I know the world out there isn’t safe yet. But we can’t let our kids inside our home. The quality of education they are getting isn’t enough through this online set up. Their study habits changed and some even suffered depression from it. They become lazy too, because they depends on their guardians and parents in answering their activities. This has been my observation for the past school year and the current one. And I do believe we can start little by little until we get back to normal. So I am up for this limited in person class. Let’s just pray and hope that everything goes well.

November Earnings
Hello everyone! Like everyone else, I am going to report how my November earnings goes. Last October I already accumulated my very first bitcoin cash from using noise and read.cash. I remember telling you guys how much I am happy with that little achievement. Honestly I am waiting for the price of bch to soar high so that I can convert it to our local currency. In the early weeks of November the price goes around $700 plus, and I was really rejoicing to it, hoping it will goes higher. However, it didn’t, the price went low and lower the following days. So I guess my bch will stay on hodl for the meantime. It is such a heartbreaking moment whenever it goes that way, but seeing it for many times I become numb and didn’t care no more. Bitcoin cash price is like a roller coaster ride, it went up and it definitely will go down in a bit. I just get used to it for the time being.
So back on my main topic, last month my goal for my earnings in November will straightly go to my coins.ph wallet as I am planning to use it for my christmas budget. That includes the gifts for my family, friends and close relatives. Actually my plan is to include my December earnings up until on the 15th if my budget didn’t meet my earnings. Luckily, my earnings in November has secured it. I didn’t really expected it. Sometimes surprises really comes in an unexpected times.
Last month I accumulated $116 dollar for the both platforms and I was beyond happy for that. Because of it I was able to have my 1 bch which I have mention earlier. So for the month of November I am also expecting the same amount or if it is lower, it is alright because I still have 15 days to accumulate my desire amount in December.
Surprisingly, noise.cash has been so generous to me last month. Upon checking my November articles I’ve only written 23 articles which is lesser than my 1st two months, I have been so inactive here due to my other extra income on which I have been busy monitoring on. But on the other platform I was extra active because it only requires a short post which is much easier to engage than making an article. By being so active in interacting with some of my virtual friends over there, my earnings has been so good too.
The total earnings I got from the two platforms if added is 0.4741 bch. It was my first time to earn that amount in my entire stay on both platforms. I converted it all to our local currency. I am super happy that my allocated budget for christmas is already safe and there’s much more extra to it. Right now I am planning to save my earning up until on the 15th and will use it for a special cause. I am planning to give a noche buena package to the less fortunate people. Giving is caring
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing great in the first day of the month. The month where everybody is anticipating for. I know almost all of us are happy because of this season. The season of giving and sharing is very visible during this month. Just a little reminder that we should always practice giving not only at this month. Whenever we have extra things, foods, and something that we didn’t need anymore we can give it to some less fortunate person out there. As it is said sharing is also caring.
Speaking of sharing, I have already mentioned from my last articles about a friend who is living in the US, this morning we’ve talked again. She told me about her post in the facebook about her fund raising for all her beneficiaries. To give you a brief introduction, my best friend Janifa has a charity foundation in Negros her hometown. She started with 30 elementary students as beneficiaries, providing them foods, and supported their studies by providing their needs for the whole year. She has coordinated with some of the school teacher and its running smoothly.
The mission is to help this young students with their school needs and be able to finish their studies up until college. So this coming holiday season, she is raising an additional fund for her gift sharing for all the families of her beneficiaries. She already allotted a budget for it but the additional fund that she will be able to collect will be added to it.
Honestly I am so proud of my friend. She decided to fund this foundation from the start out of her own pocket. All of her income from working all goes to this foundation. Whenever she goes back to the Philippines, she stayed their to monitor the situation. Right now, her beneficiaries have tripled and she is willing to help more as long as she have the means to provide for it.
Fortunately she has registered her foundation and their were already some sponsors on it. It was good, because it can make the foundation more stable as time goes by, and by then more young students can continue with their studies. And God willing they can continue their education up until college. We know too well how education is important to all of us. It is our key to have a good life and succeeds in everything.
Right now, I am hoping and praying that more kind hearted people will donate for this good cause fund raising. It will be a big help for all the beneficiaries families this holiday season. Most of these families belong to less fortunate too and receiving gifts this holidays will make them really glad. And by giving them something this holiday season is also a form of caring for them.

Best loved 90’s boybands

Before we were invaded by the big Korean pop sensation, boybands has been a thing in the 90’s. I remember being so crazy about them back when I was high school. Fangirling is a whole lot different before than it is today. Youtube was not even a thing before, so the only way you can watch your favorite pop artists music videos was through watching the tv via mtv channel or v channel. In order to learn the lyrics of their song, you should buy a songbook which included the chords of that song. Unlike today you can easily check the lyrics on the internet. I can also remember buying some poster of my favorite artists and post it in my small room and it served as my inspiration in my studies during high school days. It is so nice to reminisce some old good days.
So for today’s article let’s travel down the lane to some of my favorite boybands in the past.
Backstreet Boys
First on my list is Backstreet Boys. I will always be a forever fan of this boyband. The group members includes Brian, Kevin, AJ, Howie and my husband Nick Carter. Oops. I remember crushing over him since I was in Grade 6 and up until now. My real husband knows about it and he’s not worried at all.😁 Well, they were so famous at that time and I am sure I am not the only one claimed to be the wife of Nick C. Since I like them most, I also love all of their hits. The song “As long as you love me” is probably my top favorite. It is about a guy who will love you no matter who you are and where you from. The melody of the song is quite addicted too. I am happy too that even though the group were no longer active in making music they didn’t disband.
*NSYNC
I remember going crazy about this boyband too. What I like them most is that they dances so well unlike BSB. The members of this boyband were Justin T, Chris, Lance, Joey and JC. They were so famous back in the day too and most of their hits are danceable, maybe because they have to add some choreography while performing it on stage. Among the members, I like Justin Timberlake a lot. And my favorite song from them is “Thinking of you (drive myself crazy)” the song is about a guy who’s in regret for letting go of a girl. When he realized his lost he’s gone crazy. What I really like about this song is its music video. I just felt sad because the group broke up and Justin pursue on being a solo artist and now an actor too.
Westlife
Another great boyband in the past, which includes Shane, Mark, Brian, Nicky and Kian. I also like most of their songs because that time there were so many boybands debuted but only few lasts or have top hits. I guess one of them is Westlife. I always hear their songs on the radio back in the days and they were quite famous to some of my schoolmates too. Brian is my favorite member, unfortunately he leaves the group for some reasons. “If I let you go” is one of the song I really like from this group. The song is about a guy who is holding his feeling for someone. He didn’t know what to do whether to let it go or continue it. Right now the group has disbanded too.
98 Degrees
This group is compose of four lads namely Nick, Drew, Jeff and Justin. They were also a famous during the 90’s and some of their songs were also a hit. I remember Nick being controversial because of his relationship with Jessica Simpson who is a pop star as well. Of all their songs, “Invisible Man” will always be a memorable one. The song is about a boy who is in love with someone who is already in a relationship. He wishes that the girl can look at him the way he looked at his guy. Ouch. From what I read the group had only taken hiatus and has not yet broken up.
Oh it is really nice going back to my fangirling moments. The song and the bonding memories I have with some of my girl buddies and co fan during high school day were slowly going back. The fun of singing the song, dancing to it will always be a part of me.

My Saturday Journal
Yesterday, I woke up late because the fact that it was Saturday it also means that there is no online classes for the kids. So it was really ok to wake up late. I would like to have some sleeps more but my I received a video call from my bff. So I accepted her call while I am still in the bed. We’ve been talking a lot these past few days and we’ve been catching up stories from the past months that we almost didn’t talk. Well everything is ok with us, we are in good terms too, and during the time that we almost got zero on our savings, she is there to the rescue. So yesterday morning, while it was Friday evening over their place, she told me that she went on shopping in the morning. Well it was Black Friday over there which means there was a great sale all over the brand in every malls. She was planning to send me a package that’s why she is buying things to be included in the box. Our conversation didn’t take long as she and her husband is going to sleep after a tiring shopping day.
After our short conversation, I went downstairs to prepare the things for our breakfast. I cooked some pancakes and some chocolate drink for the kids. I survived without having coffee in the morning for 5 days already. I am planning to form a new habit of not drinking coffee for some healthy reasons. I am neglecting drinking water because of my coffee intake and I guess it’s really not good for my body because it might cause dehydration. Unfortunately I am feeling some bad headache this past days after I stopped drinking coffee. According to my friend the symptoms that I am experiencing is called caffeine withdrawal. I researched it on the google and there was really a term for it. Don’t worry it’s not a life threatening headache, I might get over it once my body is adjusted and got to used of having no caffeine in it.
In the afternoon, I continued interacting with some of my virtual friends in noise.cash, that’s why I am very sorry if I am not active here. I am so busy commenting to the posts of my noise friends that I didn’t notice it was nearly evening. Everyone was happy that the free tips is back that’s why I spend almost of my time sharing the happiness I felt because of this. I even posted a post regarding it. After dinner, I received another call from my bestfriend. We continued our never ending chit chats talking about our college friends, and all the things we missed in our college life. Isn’t it good to reminisce some good memories? I told her about noise.cash and she actually have an account. Unfortunately she is busy with her work, that’s why she isn’t active anymore. She showed me the things she bought on her last shopping. Most of it will be put in the package and she will send it to me once it is full. It wasn’t all for me, because some of it are for her other friends in the city. This is the first time she is going to send me a package and I am so excited for it.
The last time she went home was last year but unfortunately we didn’t meet because of the covid virus. After her vacation in her home province, she went back home to the US. She is planning to go back in the Philippines next year, and before that she is planning some trips for us, together with her other bestfriend from high school. I don’t want to spoil it, but it’s gonna be great get away. So we have other things that we discussed on, until I didn’t notice the time, it was time for bed as it was 12 am already. I said goodnight to her right away after talking about 3 hours. After her call, I received another video call from my husband. He was still working and took a little break and took the opportunity to say his goodnight and sending his love to me via video call. After that I went to our room and the kids were asleep. I forgot to say goodnight to them, however I kissed them goodnight and get myself to bed too.

Getting a national ID
Last July this year, our village was lucky because the barangay captain choose it as a location for a 1 day national id registration. A day before the actual registration, the officials of the housing association posted on official facebook page of our village that she is going to give out queue numbers to the homeowners at exactly 7 in the morning. In the next morning, I prepared myself, wore a white tshirt as required by the officers and proceeded to the clubhouse to get a queue number. When I got there, I see a lot of people lining up, unfortunately there wasn’t available number anymore as they have given it already as early as 5 am. They only alloted 500 numbers as this was only the number of people the PSA staffs can accommodate in one day. A lot of people complained about it including me, because they posted that the queue numbers will be distributed at 7 am but then they’ve given it earlier. So to make us calm down, they announced that they will give another queue numbers in the afternoon at 3 pm.
When I got home, I messaged my neighbor and she told me she wasn’t able to get a queue number as well, so both of us decided to went back at the clubhouse in the afternoon. Luckily both us got a number when they distributed it in the afternoon. They only added 50 more people to be accomodated on the same day together with the first 500 people. Grace and I along with the other people in the clubhouse waited for our turn. We stayed there for hours waiting for our number to be called. So while waiting we just spend the rest of the afternoon talking about anything and everything. I didn’t have to worry about my kids because the location of the registration was just a few steps away from our house. At exactly 5:30 pm, we were finally at the last step of the whole procedure. And before the clock strike at 6 I already got the proof that I successfully registered for a national ID. I just needed to wait for a few months before I can actually get the ID which will be mailed in my home address.
I guess the reason why it took us that long because it was the first day. So everyone in the neighbourhood simultaneously went at the same time to register. My mistake because I thought it would only be for a day. On the following weeks, they held another registration process and a friend of mine from the other village registered here, she told me that it was a quick one. Now next month, they are going to have another registration prioritizing the kids ages 5 to 12 years old. I was happy to know about it because I’d like my kids to be registered too.
Last Wednesday afternoon, Grace my neighbor, message me that there is another national registration at the nearby village which includes the kids too. She told me that she is done with the registration of her three kids. I mentioned to her about the registration in our village but she told me that maybe a lot of kids will be there along with their parents. I perfectly got her point, so yesterday I took my kids to the nearby village. I brought their birth certificates and passports for ID validation.
It was indeed a very quick one. We went there by 3 pm and we finished the whole process at exactly 320 pm. Seriously that only took us 20 minutes very unlikely to what I’ve had experienced. Lucky us because when we got at the location there was only two people ahead of us and after them my kids were next. My kids have now successfully done with the registration and just like me, we’re gonna wait for the national id to be mailed into our home address. When? Well I don’t know. I registered last July but up until now I am still waiting for it. I hope they can send it soon.
Final Thoughts
Getting a national id has a lot of benefits. Actually our country was way left behind about getting one. But getting late is better than not having one at all. This could help our countrymen in getting benefits from the government in the near future. In this way there would be a fair contribution to everyone and avoid the anomaly in the government and hopefully it will lessen the corruption too. Oh we can only hope. Parenting Goals Ideas
Being a parent is never an easy job. The responsibilities in taking care of your children requires a lot of efforts and and strong determination in order for them to grow the way you want them to be. We are glad that someone can supports us in raising our kids. Aside from our partners in life, our parents from both side never failed to show and give their supports in order for our kids to grow up well. But of course, not at all times they are there to guide and helped you out in raising your kids. Can we still properly raised our little ones? I know we can still. Here I am sharing some parenting ideas which will helped us in raising our kids or our future kids.
Prioritize more quality time
When we say quality time this is like bonding moments with your kids. Get more interactions with them because as they grow older their interest and likes changes too. It is much easier when they are young because a simple board game or a bedtime story at night is great way of bonding with them. There are really times that as a parent myself I neglect a quality time with my kids, but to catch up with them, we’ll go on a simple date at the mall. We’ll go eat at their favorite restaurant and play some arcades which both my boys like.
Teach them while they’re young
What does the scripture says about teaching kids, “ Train up a child and in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) Giving kids responsibilities at a young age is a good training ground for them. You can start giving them household chores that is appropriate for their age. I believe in this way, they can learned how to be independent in no time. It can be a big help for them if they wanted to live on their own in the future. Aside from household chores, we must teach our children some good manners and conduct as early as possible. Since they have tendency to forgot things the next morning, we have to be consistent in reminding them from time to time.
Be firm with your rules at home
Having rules inside our home is not an assurance that your kids will easily follow it. In my experience they will only follow it on the first week and start ignoring it on the following days. Why is that so? I guess being firm with the consequences is the best solution to it. It is much easier to let younger ones do it, but when they grow a little bit they began being stubborn most of the times. Talking to your kids and be consistent in the consequences in breaking the rules will surely help. I just hope so.
Be a good listener
Listening to our kids is a good way to start conversations too. To avoid misunderstanding in the future proper listening should be practice. Listening shows respect and makes you understands the problem well. We should never make a conclusion right away, instead listen to every side of the story in order to make a good decision too.
Focus on family values and be a role model
Paying respect to the older ones is one of the values we should keep. We don’t want our kids to grow rude and have a bad manners at everything. It will definitely reflects on how we raised them. Moral values always begins at home, by being a good model to them I am sure they will learn little by little. Walk the talk, which means putting your words into action. You can’t just say, do it and do that yet you’re doing the opposite. We should always remember that younger ones always looks up to us.
Final Thoughts
We all have different ways to raised our children. The ideas written above was just a guide and it’s up to you if you want to follow it or not. At the end of the day, it is still depends on us on how we want to discipline or raise our little ones. I know we can do it. Just enjoy parenting no matter how hard it will be. I assure you, all the sacrifices will be worth it in the end.

A day in dog’s life
It’s another morning again. And here I am lying on the floor, waiting for mum to wake up. Soon it’s gonna be a busy day. I hope she can still find time to play with me. One more minute and the door is opening, finally mum is awake, I am so happy to see her again as she greeted me good morning! She went to the other room to open the windows, and I went downstairs before she does. Oh no, I think I am going hear some rantings again because I peed on the floor. I hurriedly went under the table while mum is busy mopping and cleaning the floor because of my pee. I am sorry mum, I just can’t control it and the door was locked that’s why I can’t get out of the house. When she’s done, I went to her as if nothing happened. She patted my head and hugged me tightly. She then proceeds to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
A few minutes more, my brothers are now awake too and they are going to squished my face like they always do. They found me really cute, well I really think I am. Oh by the way, my little playmate didn’t went home last night. I think he is busy with his girlfriend, later when he goes home I will definitely scold him. Ah there goes my brothers, sometimes I hate them, what do they think of me? A stuff toy? Anyway, something smells good? Sniff, Sniff. Oh the breakfast is ready and I can smell the sweet aroma of hotdogs. I definitely love eating hotdog. Mum prepared a good breakfast today huh. I can also smell some chocolate milk, but for some reasons I can’t drink it. They always told me, this isn’t good for you, something might happened to you so never ever eat something with chocolate. Ahh, I just want to have a taste. Okay I’ll behave now, can I have milk instead.
Ok, everyone’s busy in the house right now, I feel bored, now where is my plushie? I need something to do with my boredom. Oh I think someone is outside, Mum someone is outside can’t you hear I keep on barking here. Duh! Oh well I guess it’s from the neighbourhood that’s why mum keep on ignoring me. He hates me when I keep on barking. What to do? I can’t even talk or laugh or cry. This is so frustrating. Now I am gonna behave and sleep for a while. After sometime, my playmate goes home. I chased him, that’s why he thought I am going to eat him. You know what, he only goes home to eat and sleep. And I think he is hungry now because it’s lunch time. What’s for lunch mum? I want some chicken please.
The day passes by so quickly, now what to do? I can’t count how many times I went back and forth the stairs. I even chase the cat and the birds outside but I still feel bored. I don’t even have a boyfriend, but then I realised I hate boys. I’m ok here, I guess I’ll stay single for the rest of my life. Sometimes in times like this I missed dad. When he’s here, I can go ride a car and sometimes visit my friends. Mum said he’ll be home early next year. Yay, finally freedom! That’ll be few more sleep. And since it’s already nighttime I think I am going to count the sheep and sleep. Mum and brothers finally bid their goodnight earlier and I guess it’s time to say, let’s call it a day.

Going back to normal
Little by little we can see improvements with how our government especially all our modern day heroes -the frontliners handled our current situation. It was a very tough challenge for everyone to overcome such a very difficult situations. There has been a lot of strategies tried in order to contain the said virus and hopefully we are going in the right track. I don’t want to speak so soon because as of the moment there are still 20 thousands plus active cases within the country. Out of more 2 million cases recorded over the past year and months, it was so satisfying to learn that only few are active. However, we can’t denied the fact that from 2 million cases, 40 thousands plus died from this virus. But nevertheless, it’s good to know that with more cases going negative, we will surely go back to the things we used to do.
Am I excited? Of course I am, who wouldn’t be. Our life has turned 180 degrees. We were forced to do the things we didn’t do before but eventually got used to it too. We learned the value of each other, and we give importance to our health which some of us neglected to do. There are so many realizations and lesson learned from this worldwide pandemic. And I guess those lessons will help us do better in the coming days.
Recently the younger generation mostly the kids were now allowed to enter any establishment which have been prohibited for many months. It’s good to know that every child can now enjoy going outside, but as a concerned citizen everyone should be cautious in going out. Proper distancing and doing some safety protocols must be done in order to avoid unnecessary situation. I believe if everyone is responsible enough for this kind if scenarios, nothing bad will happen. And for sure, no parents or guardians will let any bad things happen to their loved ones right?
With all the good things going right now, I assume by next year we can now back to our normal day. Just a few days ago, using face shield has already been lifted up. But using a face mask which provide us a better protection from the virus is still a must. Honestly using face shield is such a hassle. I remember talking to a parent at school, where she says it was harder for her to wear a face shield because she was wearing a reading glass, so knowing that it’s been lifted up, she was a little happy.
Our economy is slowly getting to where it should be. Despite the pandemic, our gdp which stands for gross domestic product posted a growth of 11.8 in the second quarter. I don’t know much about economics but hearing this kind of news has definitely boost my mood. It gives hope to all of us that even though we are having a hard time, some sectors in the industry are booming and I guess everyone will follow next.
Final Thoughts
“There always a light at the end of every tunnel”
This quote is very timely for our situation. We’ve been into a dark days for many months, testing everything we can to survive, and after all the suffering we’ll finally see the light. The end is very near and let’s claim that healing for all the positive cases not only within our country but in the whole world that up until now is still affected by this virus. Let’s be proud of all the frontliners who never give up in this battle. We owe them big for the sacrifices they’ve done. And of course we should also give credits to all the people who also participated a lot and risk their lives in this situation, that includes our government officials too.

Christmas is in the air
Christmas is truly in the air. Colorful decorations outside our neighborhood is visible already. Yesterday I went out with the boys and I am glad to see some christmas decorations hanging on every street post in our city. It inspired me to make an acrostic article related to this coming season.
**C** hrist is the ultimate reason why we are celebrating this special holiday of the year. He is here to give us hope and bring peace to the world. Christmas is such a great day to celebrate the birthday of our redeemer.
**H** appy is every child during this season. The joy you can see at their faces is priceless. Honestly they were always excited every christmas because of the special gifts they will get from their godparents and loved ones. Christmas reminds them to be good the whole year round so that they can get a better rewards in the end.
**R** eunion is everywhere. This is probably the time of the year that every family gather together again. Gift exchanging, the delicious meals on the table and the never ending chit chats from everyone.
**I** ts the season of hope and joy. Christmas always reminds us to be hopeful and joyful no matter how hard the situation we are in. Some maybe having a difficult times, but for some reasons the hope during this time is overflowing. You can see the happiness within each other no matter what status you had in your life.
**S** anta is coming to town. Who else never got excited because of this. You better be good all through the year because Santa is watching over you. But did you know, in the US kids are sleeping early at christmas eve because they are waiting for Santa to come. It made me realize, maybe that is the reason Santa can’t come to the Philippines because we are all wide awake during that time. And yes we don’t have chimney too, where Santa can sneak in. But hey, our parents is always there to the rescue.
**T** rees are decorated with festive designs that is very pleasing in the eyes. The shining, shimmering, splendid is like we are in a whole new world. Ok so did I just sing? But it’s really true, every house have different christmas decorations.
**M** others were all busy buying this and that. They make sure everyone in the family will get a gift they deserve every year. They were also the ones who is in charge for every delicious and yummy meals served on the table. They make every christmas a happy celebration for the rest of the family.
**A** ngels sing beautifully. This season, we can hear a lot of christmas songs everywhere too. In the supermarket, the malls and even radio dj were playing a lot of christmas songs which we always love to hear. This is like hearing angels sing cheerfully and happily.
**S** alvation. Jesus Christ came to save us from all of the pain in this world. He came to save us from all the sins we’ve done. He is the reason why everyone deserve a second chance at everything. Without Him, we might all be living in sin right now. That’s why this season of the year, don’t ever forget to always give thanks to Him.
There you go. I wish everyone an advance Merry Christmas. I know it’s too early, but Christmas season in our country is celebrated as early as September. And now we are only few days more before we officially welcomes the month of December. I just hope we can celebrate the coming holidays better than we have last year.
