A young man named Ariful Islam (25) was killed in a fight between two parties over a trivial incident at Gangachara in Rangpur. The incident took place at noon on Sunday at Char Mornya Koeltari village in Mornya union of the upazila. Police have arrested three people on charges of being involved in the incident.
According to locals and police sources, Ariful Islam, son of Islam Uddin of Koiltari village, had a long-running dispute with the family of Alauddin, 60, son of the late Rahim Uddin. When Ariful's chicken went to Alauddin's house, he would often kill it. On Sunday afternoon, Alauddin killed Ariful's chicken as before. At one stage of Alauddin's family's argument with Ariful's family, Alauddin inserted the knife in his hand into Ariful's stomach. Ariful was immediately rushed to the health complex where he died.
Gangachara Model Police Station OC Sushant Kumar Sarkar said the family of the deceased was preparing the case. 3 people have been arrested in this incident.
