Handial Union Parishad chairman Zakir Hossain said a scuffle broke out between Union Chhatra League general secretary Russell Ahmed's group and former organizing secretary Habibur Rahman Habib's group on Sunday afternoon. As a result, a group of youths hacked Habib and Nasir with sharp weapons and fled in the alley of the local girls' school at around 7.30 pm. Habib died on the way to the doctor after the locals rescued them. The injured Nasir has been admitted to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex.
