Is html a programming language ?

... that old argument on the internet about whether html and Css are programming languages or not so,

before we answer that let's ask couple of questions like ...what is html?and how does it work? and by knowing how it works you will deduce if it's a programming language or not so again,

what is Html ? it is basically the short cut of (HyperText Markup Language) and it is used to create web page content ,it's a system used to describe various components of a document like a paragraph , a heading or even spaces between couple of paragraphs and so on ....

And how does Html work you might ask? .. first let's talk about browsers Sorry not sorry but you have to know that browsers as chrome,safari, opera ..etc are responsible for the client side and showing you what you are seeing right now server does the "serving" browser does the "browsing" but HOW ,well the browser has something that is called rendering engine each browser works with one that is different that's why chrome doesn't work with ios because chrome uses a render engine called (blink) here is a wiki page on different rendering engine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_browser_engines

but wait what is the render engine? it is the program that is responsible for converting Html and Css into what you see
