Babies eat, like, a lot. In fact, if a newborn can write a memory, it will probably be titled "Eat, shit, sleep, and eat again." Thanks to the relentless diet, you may think that breastfeeding means your social life needs to come out the window in the first year. Incapable!

Unfortunately, there are laws in all 50 states that make it legal for your little one to eat straight from the source. And there are many tips and tools that can make feeding in public places easy and comfortable.

Are there any laws regarding public breastfeeding?

Yes Public breastfeeding is legal in all 50 of the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Basically, if you are allowed to legally land somewhere (not infringing), you are allowed to feed your baby in that space. This means you can take care of your baby legally in stores, restaurants, schools, planes, and wherever you find yourself.

Thirty states have taken one more step and have excluded breastfeeding from public rudeness. This means that if you live in one of these particular states, you do not need to cover while breastfeeding.

Includes 30 states:, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
