These are the 5 elements of a good leadership program. Each element or phase is presented as a module and discussed briefly why they are important to the learning process of becoming a good a leader.

Design Element 1: Mastering the Fundamentals of Leadership

In order for a person to be a good and exemplary leader, he or she must learn the fundamentals of leadership – this happens to be the main objective of the first module. In this phase, the participants are said to engage in a very wide self-awareness set of activities. If you are someone who is hailed as a great leader, you must also train aspiring leaders to learn about the most basic precepts about how a leader must set himself as a noble example to the subordinates.

Every learning endeavor no matter how big or small, or regardless of the field in which it belongs must begin by learning the fundamentals of the subject. Over the course of time, those basic elements will naturally evolve into a greater form if the learner will just keeps on absorbing the vital facts in increasing measure.

Design Element 2: Raising Your Spearheading Sights

After learning about the fundamentals of leadership, the participants are then encouraged to broaden their focus. This is highly important in the development of a leader’s mindset because he must never limit himself to what he just learned from a very basic standpoint. A good leader will always be willing to learn by exploring new ideas and by conversing with other leaders that belong to his field of discipline.

The module of the program states that the participants will work on handwritten assignments and delve deep into some reading materials. Such a drill is also very vital to the program because it allows an aspiring leader to express himself much more clearly through written media, or through verbal means. Communication will always be a vital element in any group of individuals or any unit of society. Thus, it must be imperative for a leader to have the skills to communicate through spoken words or by writing down his message on a sheet of paper as a formal letter.

Design Element 3: Getting Inside the Heart of Leadership

In this phase, the participants will engage in an introspective process that allows them to look inwards. By so doing, they will be able to reflect on what they learned from the previous modules and think about how they can become better leaders because of the previous lessons. The importance of this phase lies in the concept of self-analysis and personal reflection. If you can pinpoint what are your weak and strong points, you can then choose to enhance them or abolish them altogether in favor of newer, better ones.

By asking yourself if you are worthy enough to lead, or if you already have the necessary traits that a good leader must possess, you can then have a much fairer assessment of yourself. It is quite obvious that the best decisions are made out of thorough planning and analysis. And if a leader does not choose to do them from time to time, it is very unlikely that he will be able to make wise choices that pertain to the direction of the group he is leading. For this reason, introspection must also be a drill that all aspiring leaders must subject themselves to.

Design Element 4: Growing Your Leadership Culture

A great leader must be able to inspire others – this is the core idea of the fourth module. This is a great opportunity for the participants to motivate other leaders, as well as the enthusiasts of the field to be as good as them, or become even better. It is said that the effectiveness of a group is only as good as its weakest link, therefore, a great leader must also be capable of encouraging the subordinates to be as proficient or as wise as he is.

A wise leader can only be truly declared as such if he is capable of transferring his ideas and methods into others because it is the only way to make the team he is leading truly effective at the given tasks. If the members cannot comprehend what the leader is trying to point at, or if the members have a hard time figuring out the directions given to them, the whole team would crumble into pieces as the members perform their designated tasks. It is the reason why leaders must be able to lead by example and be always ready to motivate others by their actions.

Design Element 5: Aiming for Mastery As A Leader

This is the phase where the participants will look back at what they learned, and look forward to what they can pass on to the next batch of participants. This is mainly about how good it is to master the leadership voice and how they are able to discover it. The ultimate goal is how to be a better spearhead in the field of business.

It can be noted that leaders must be measured by the applicability of their actions and how good they are in making the best decisions for an establishment in areas like that of the corporate world.

Conclusion

The conclusive thoughts about this leadership program are mainly about how a leader can attain excellence and how he can inspire others to imitate his actions even without saying a lot. While it is good for him to thoroughly explain his thoughts, sometimes, the best kind of strategies are those given through actions that can just be easily duplicated by the team members and subordinates.

This is another good read. Becoming a leader is not learned in one setting, it is learned through time. It is challenging, because you are the one setting the direction of your team. You will think of ways on how are you going to motivate your team to work. Each leader has its own leadership style - Authoritarian , Participative , Delegative ,Transactional ,Transformational . As for me, I would like to be a Transformational leader. Thinking about writing on this. maybe some time.

Not everyone is a born leader but somehow, one can developed the leadership traits if he or she is being trained and guided properly. It's true that leader leads by examples but the leader is a human too and sometimes they do make mistakes. A responsible leader also sometimes need to learn how to say "I am sorry" .

As a leader, it's not easy to pull down one's ego especially in front of their subordinates but do always remember "downfall will surely followed everytime when pride is exalted.

Sorry, I thought my word is a bit too hard. Thank you for your agreement. It is not easy to digest, it needs self reflection & the willingness to accept that sometimes others ideas are more better.

Are you some educational speaker? Sorry for asking randomly, but you seem like the kind that I see talking on seminars, judging my the insights of your articles. They are vast topics and full of information. Like this one.

You must never apologize for asking random questions on a platform like this. No Ma'am, I don't speak in seminars, though I was technically an educational speaker since I was a teacher for a couple of years. I'm glad you classify me as an "insightful writer." I am currently working as a content writer and academic writer so I'm kinda forced to research a lot of topics... because I'm tasked every day to write about what a variety of clients want.
