Discovering the Shack....
Some movies are intended to entertain us, while others are intended to teach us life lessons.
Have you watched the Movie βThe Shack β?
If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly advise you to do so because there is so much to learn from it. I won't give you any hints about the movie; instead, I'll give you life lessons that you'll undoubtedly remember.
These are the things I have learned and really pierced my heart.
1. PAIN blinds us.
When we are in deep pain, all we see is the damage; we are drawn by our emotions and lose sight of the good that is a part of it. Pain is hard, which is why we need to be reminded of God's unending grace, mercy, and love for us. May we be as gracious to others as He is to us, and may we never lose sight of Him no matter what we are going through. May we keep our gaze fixed on Him, knowing that no matter what the circumstances are, He is and will always be the same. He is bigger than the pain we are feeling.
2. Unresolved pain will cling to us.
If we don't deal with our pain, it will come back to haunt us. It is necessary in life to deal with the pain that we are carrying. We need to let God and let Go. We must let things slip through our fingers and allow the maker to redeem us. Pain will only distract us from the things that the Lord has planned for us. We were created for a greater purpose, not to carry trash, but to carry what He has for us. We are to love and be loved.
3. You are Worthy
Because we are fearfully and wonderfully created. Though there are times when we feel unworthy, insufficient, and make mistakes. God still sees us for who we are, in His eyes , we are unique, just, and beautiful. We are worthy more than our mistakes.
4. You don't have to do it alone.
We have a tendency to carry things alone at times, and if you are that person too, well , I can relate to you as I am not always the person who shares my struggles. I won't share because I'm afraid people will judge me. I tend to endure the pain of the burden on my own. Now, this movie reminds me, and will certainly remind me, that I don't have to do things alone, and that I am also meant to share a glimpse of myself with people I trust. This movie teaches me that I have God, but I also have friends and family who love and are willing to help me and not to judge me. In this battle, I have people I can rely on and on whom I can lean, I am not alone and so do you.
5. We are in a wild, wonderful, and perfectly imperfect process
When I looked at life from a different perspective. I could only tell it was a combination of salt, pepper, sugar, spice, and everything nice. (LOL) It's a little wild and crazy, but it's also quite beautiful. I find myself in a mess at times, and most of the time I AM A MESS MYSELF. One thing, however, will always serve as a reminder to me that His grace is sufficient. I have a lot to deal with, but when I look at where I am right now, this mess pales compared to the love He has for me. His love is unending, profound, and my only reality. Even though I am in a wild, crazy process, I am still progressing, and I am who He says I am despite my mess. We are in a wild , wonderful and perfectly in process and it is okay.
These are the few of the things that I personally learned from the movie , I hope while you were reading this one , you can also get some good take away.
You must be very inquisitive, thanks for sharing this, well informative
