SUMMARY
In interviewing, we must have sufficient questions to the interviewee so that we can have an accurate needed data for the research. Sometimes, it is a waste of time to think for questions during the interview. It is much convenient if the questions are ready and it is not time consuming. In our case, there are unexpected questions that came up in our minds and sometimes it not in the questions we prepared. Maybe some of them may not able to answer but it is okay if the data that are needed are sufficient. There are some problems and difficulties we encountered some of our interviews; the unavailability of the interviewees, lack of time and the wrong timings. Sometimes all you have to do is to wait for a perfect timing and always have patience. We observe that this kind of job is not easy. Working hard is the key to reach the success of the research.
There are some recommendations that is very helpful for the researchers to improve their work. Time management is very important in doing the research. Time is very important, giving time or schedule is very important to finish work and present it in the given time. Find places where you can avail to collect data and it is easy when you interview the people who already have knowledge about the current research. Even though it is very for the researchers to roam around in many places, one you accomplish it, all of the difficulties encountered will be replaced by happiness because you accomplish the research in the right time.
Collecting some data in many other places is very hard. It is very difficult especially when the needed data cannot be collected right away. Sometimes the person that is supposed to be interviewed is busy or maybe not available. In our case, the persons that we supposed to interview are not available. The principal in the school St. Benedict’s Academy is in a seminar in Naga City and the priests in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Guinobatan, Albay are all in an assembly. So, in that day we’ve decided an alternative way to collect some data. Although those persons are very important in our research, but we have to collect data to other people so we collected data in barangay Quitago in Guinobatan. In there, we interviewed Ms. Wedona about what she know about the religious practices in Guinobatan, Albay. It is not difficult for us because my partner is close to the interviewee. Other than that, we asked many people about those religious beliefs in Guinobatan, Albay.
One of the parts of our research about religious beliefs in Guinobatan is the “Lola”. One of our member or classmates give us some tip that one of the religious practices that is purely Guinobatan is the “Lola” which is in Maipon Guinobatan, Albay. After that we have decided to go in there to have an interview to them. When we go there, we observed that their place is very peaceful and quite. One of our observations is that women should always wear their skirts to give respect to their prophet “Lola”. When we arrived, one of the members of the “Lola” group gives us “talupi” before we enter their capitol or their chapel to give some respect. It is an opportunity and experience to us because we have never came in that place before. There are some difficulties in finding some source of data for our research but somehow, we can come up to an alternative idea to have filled some data to the research.
Good Evening read.cash family! This is the last part of my article about the religious practices in our municipality. I hope you had fun reading it.
