Update: This is a Philippine Hawk-Eagle! 🦅
We previously identified this as a Honey Buzzard due to some similarities. Endemic to Luzon and endangered, there are an estimated 400 to 600 of them left in the wild due to habitat loss. One of the larger bird species residing in Masungi, trail manager Irven managed to take an up close shot of it.
