The Island of mystery part 5 captured by the Native Americans
We see the tribe again stood at the top of a moutain looking down at us so we stand still with terror on our faces. The horses tell us to to be very still and they will think of a way later for us to escape . The native Americans ride down with their bows transfixed onto our bodies whilst look in terror at them. We are told to get off the horses and me and lieutenant megs are picked up and carried back to their settlement by the native Americans with the horses following behind.
We are placed down and tied to posts near to their Wigwams, l can see lieutenant megs looking frustrated whilst the native Americans are standing around her and stripping her naked with her red face of terror. I suffer the same fate and we are both tied and naked with the native Americans looking down on us within the horror of this settlement.
A noise suddenly comes from the distance and American ride into the camp and cutting us free from the savage of the native American warriors and carrying us to their camp on the flowing river of the Mississippi and into the safety of the fort along with our horses.
A man comes from a room and stands in the middle of the fort he is the General of the army and he takes us into another room and gives us clothes to wear and warm food to eat while we rest on a cotton bed and keep warm by huddle together for support.
After a while a trumpet sounds loud into the summer air across the plains of the river and we walk outside to hear the sound of gunfire coming across the forts entrance. The horses are jumping with terror and soliders can be seen falling from the fort walls with arrows sticking out of their heads and laid on the ground of terror.
We both climb up on the top of the fort and see thousands of native Americans marching down to the fort with hate in their eyes and tomahawks flowing in the summer sun. Looking around for our horses we spot them over the far corner of the fort so l grab a rope which hangs along the fort walls and carry lieutenant megs in my arms by swinging to the horses and away to safety.
At this point the fort entrance falls down with a loud thud and thousands of native Americans enter the fort and kill and scalp all the soliders left. We ride off into the sunset and see the burning fort alight in the summer nights sky but looking back their are thousands of native Americans following us and terror strikes in our hearts while we ride fast into the dark night sky.
