Birishiri:
Birishiri is a shady village of Mayaghera on the border. Its location is 30 km away from Netrokona. Birishiri has the clear water of calm-clear Someshwari, bright sand dunes, white kashaban and the diverse lifestyle of Garo-Hajongs. In the rainy season, the beauty of Birishiri on the banks of Someshwari increases a few more times. Its wild beauty is shown to the tourists who come to visit Birishiri in the closed rain of the steep slope coming down from the distant hills. Quiet-smooth, green-covered tidy environment. Here is the calm-transparent Someshwari. This slow flowing river is very beautiful. The quiet-dense Someshwari is flowing slowly. Upachepra green heart palm on the other side. The frosty wind of the north and the clear stream of Someshwari seem to take away all the fatigue in an instant. The depth of Someshwari is also incredibly low. Coal is found in this river. The villagers dive under the water and fetch black gold. This coal is used as fuel in mills. Its potential as an export product is bright. The road from Mymensingh to Birishiri is only 35-36 km. Those who do not have their own vehicle have to take a bus from Dhaka to Mymensingh, then go to Durgapur by bus or Maxi. Apart from this, Ranikhong Church is located on the top of a hill six kilometers north of Durgapur. From the top of this hill, the beauty of Birishiri seems to get another dimension. The secluded and quiet atmosphere of Birishiri brings peace to the mind. You will not feel bad sitting in such an environment for hours. It takes about four hours to leave Dhaka. Birishiri Cultural Academy has its own rest house and guest house of Zilla Parishad Dak Bungalow, YMCA
