The Big Bang Unico is equipped with an important case of 45.5 mm in diameter, sophisticated and mechanical, with a bezel fixed by 6 H-shaped screws with a new even more technical and refined design (the head of each screw is now in relief allowing the alternation of glossy and matte finish). Noteworthy is the design of the crown, screwed down, overprinted in rubber, the profile of which is decorated with the famous H of the Hublot screw. For the first time since the creation of the Big Bang in 2005, the buttons are round. They are protected by a button cover integrated into the middle case and finished like engine pistons. The sharp edges and the intelligent sandwich system of the case structure remain, but the attachment of the strap is optimized: the now famous "One click" system has been adopted which allows you to alternate a wide choice of bracelets to your liking - the watches are supplied with a structured and coated natural rubber strap that integrates perfectly with the bezels of the middle case. Finally, the movement can be admired thanks to a skeletonized dial equipped with the famous indexes and Arabic numerals reworked to make them more massive (and which are emptied and filled with black SuperLuminova TM for the All Black version) as well as two "circled" counters. a polished bezel, the first for the minutes, at 3 o'clock, and the other for the small seconds, at 9 o'clock; the date window is positioned at 3 o'clock. The hands have also been reworked, faceted on two levels and filled with black SuperluminovaTM.
As for the UNICO in-house movement, it's THE House movement, the in-house chronograph movement. That's why it was chosen. It was entirely designed, developed, machined and assembled by micro mechanics, engineers and watchmakers within Hublot as I could see with my own eyes during a visit to their factory. It is a Flyback chronograph (practical as it allows an immediate restart of the chronograph), unique in the watch industry, equipped with two pushers, date indication and characterized by the positioning of its mechanism with double horizontal coupling and the famous "column wheel ”Visible on the dial side. Its development followed an original path, off the beaten track: the double horizontal coupling with integrated column wheel on the dial side for the central 60 seconds counter and the small 60 minutes counter at 3 o'clock. '' reliability and smoothness of the chronograph START STOP RESET functions and improves the visibility of the functions for the wearer of the watch. Anchor and escape wheel are made of silicon, a guarantee of optimal performance thanks to its lightness, fixed on a removable escapement holder. The construction of the 330 components is characterized by great precision and reliability thanks to the choice of making many components in LigaTenica. The frequency of 4hz / 28,800 vibrations / hour and the accurate finishes are also a guarantee of excellent chronometric qualities. Finally, automated production, such as robotization for processing, stone assembly, lubrication and many assembly operations, allows for constant and controlled quality.
