You owe me
Christmas is over.
How do you feel? Happy, annoyed, relieved or anxious?
If I may believe the internet worldwide 2 billion people out of the 8 billion "celebrate" Christmas. By celebrating I don't mean presents piled up to the ceiling or having a family of 8+ people dining together in peace and harmony.
If you ask me the celebration is more like being raised with the knowledge of Christmas, the few free national days a year, a Christmas gift from the employer, a tree or treat.
For sure many do not celebrate at all. Those are the people forgotten, abandoned, ignored. You know them, I do and we prefer to ignore their existence and loneliness.
The most annoying thing about Christmas is the fact commercials and Coca-cola made it more important than it really is. If commercials, a society tells people it is normal to celebrate with family by stuffing yourself with turkey you easily feel like an outcast if this is not the case.
Isn't it strange how people today celebrate Christmas even if they aren't Christians?
And what about all those presents and being in debt just to buy things the receiver hates and will sell as soon as Christmas is over? Why is it that people want to take part in that?
Usually, those two Christmas days are pyjama days for me and my family. No cooking, no fuzz, no visitors, not visiting anyone and watching films.
We watched "An idiot abroad" and I'm also watching 'The Blacklist' and 'Lucifer' (series). It's great not to be disturbed and these series are good food for thought.
It makes me wonder about the story writer too. What kind of person thought out all these stories and remarkable phrases?
Raymond Reddington reminds me of Hannibal Lecture and Lucifer Morningstar is an interesting character as well. A man of his worth. While watching him I wonder why people are scared of satan. A deal with the devil seems to be easily made and more attractive to me than with his who looks the other way.
A deal is a deal, says Lucifer, where we would say: you owe me something.
If you watch and listen carefully you see and hear the truth. You will, even if it looks hilarious or makes you laugh.
The world you live in is what you make out of it: heaven or hell.
If it's hell Lucifer has nothing to do with it. Perhaps it is karma, fate or destiny but above all, it is your life.
You can blame the devil for what goes wrong, your behaviour, but if it comes to it it is the result of your own acting (lack of acting).
If you ask me it is true that the brutal ones, the sadists and criminals rule. Justice, just like the law, is not for everyone but that doesn't mean a life cannot be improved. All you need to do is to change. That takes courage, strength and action but it is doable and possible.
Personally, I do not believe in the devil as a person setting up people, collecting souls or starting wars.
The evil we see and are confronted with its name is more likely 'human being'.
