Are you one of these persons saying you are talentless? Do you envy those creative ones? People who can draw, paint, sing, bake the greatest pies, and show off with it?
Interesting to know is we most likely all have the same skills.
A talent is something you need to develop. Some have the opportunity to do so at a very young age, most people do not and need to find out by themselves what they are good at. This might take time but if you really want you can do it. A multiple personality is a good example of what the mind is capable of. It shows how each personality in one person develops different interests, skills, and talents. It is amazing to see how one personality is great at maths or speak different languages while another has problems with counting and can hardly read and write.
The circumstances given and taken make a person(ality) develop in a certain direction.
We all have talents.
Even more than one. Some we are great at, others we "suck ". If you believe you can't do it, you are a loser, you will not start to practice it. Like we all know you need to practice to improve, to be good at it, to develop your own personal style.
Practicing means doing it daily. Not for 5 minutes but hours. Not for a few weeks but for years. Discipline is needed to keep trying and discipline is what most of us do not have. If the result isn't seen within a short time we give up and tell ourselves it's useless, we get angry and frustrated and give up on it. We do not focus on what we like to achieve but what someone else did.
The fact is we all are different. Different if it comes to the opportunities given and character which means we all have to work in a different way to be good at whatever we like to be good at.
How to find your talent?
Know yourself. Who are you? What are your likes and dislikes? Write down why? If you don't know ask family, friends, colleagues how they see you, what they think about you and make a list of what you are good at your positive skills
The six skills
Wisdom and knowledge.
Creativity, curiosity, perspective, being open to, and inquisitiveness are parts of it.
Do you recognize yourself? Use these skills
Courage.
Bravery, perseverance, integrity, and vitality are parts of courage.
You can focus on and practice these skills.
Humanity
Love, kindness,s, and social intelligence are parts of humanity.
According to David Goleman is delf-understanding is the key to Emotional Intelligence. To get knowing yourself you/write-down/answer the next questions after a walk, gardening, being out, work, a meeting, etc: How did I respond physically, how did I feel, what did I though? Did I learn something about a certain person or situation? Did this influence my behavior or decision?
Justice.
Solidarity, honesty, and leadership are parts of justice.
Moderation.
Forgiveness, modesty, careful, self-control disciplines)
Transcendence.
An eye for beauty, gratefulness, hope, humor, spirituality.
Spiritual-Intelligence means respect for the miracles of nature itself. You can develop it by asking how nature managed, or how a bird, butterflies know were to fly to, how a flower manages to attract an insect...
It may be clear the skills mentioned above should be part of the personal nature (character). Pretending you are kind isn't the same as being kind for real. The way we act is for the biggest part a result of how we are raised, the society expects us to be (females: Humanity and Moderation, males: Wisdom and knowledge, courage and Justice) and character.
If you want to discover your talent the only way is to get knowing yourself, to focus on your positive skills, develop them by practicing and find the type of job that fits your talents.
Excellent postulation, much talent abound when a person when a person release himself or herself to challenges
