Dark adventures

Even satan would weep sitting for hours in there trying to get the simplest thing accomplished, he thought while he struggled in the dark to untie himself. Pity his teeth couldn't reach the rope around his ankles. His fingers felt numb and his arms and back hurt. How much time had passed since he woke up? How much time since he ended up here? He still couldn't remember what happened neither his name. Perhaps he should just sit here and wait, wait till someone came to rescue him? He groaned as a nail broke off but it was a small price for his freedom. His ankles we're free, still numb but free in a few minutes he would try to stand up and find his way out of the hole where someone had dumped him as bait for...
With his head leaned against the wall he waited for the better moment, the right moment to act.

He rubbed his cold hands against his jacket. Something was inside of his pocket. He touched it and tried to figure out what it was. A phone perhaps? If so he could call someone.
Hasty, he pulled the item out of his pocket and held it in front of his eyes and pressed the button... "his guide is not for my benefit!..." He didn't recognize the voice and listened to the words of a stranger that didn't make sense to him. A soft click ended the speech and he heard how the little machine in his hand restarted. This time it was someone else speaking. A woman and... he heard his own voice. The parts of the conversation didn't ring a bell but he felt alarmed and at least know he knew his name. She called him Jim and she was the one he most likely had seen before he ended up here in the hole alone. Was she afraid of him or had she something to hide?

"There's no need to worry", Mrs. Gordon said. The kitchen is clean just like always. You know me. No trace of breadcrumbs on the floor which leads to him. She grinned and ended the conversation. It was quiet and time for her nap. Jim had found a new place to stay and if the time was right she would let the drunk man out and they would all live happily ever after. For a moment she thought she heard the doorbell but she felt too tired to get out of bed and check out who it was. " If it's urgent come back later", she mumbled before she fell asleep.
