"He isn't there at what time he's finished?"
It's the first day at school going my bus and we checked the schedules of both. The bus-kid will leave each morning at the same time with the youngest. This means twice a week it's waiting at school (or somewhere else) till school starts. If it will be successful at school is questionable because a face mask is required. Therefore no face masks at the school of the youngest. Might be the bus station is a better place to be. Fresh air, no face masks.
Back home is a different story. The youngest has to take the bus a few times alone. Most likely on Mondays and Tuesdays which means these days I have to wait for 3 and 2 hours or drive up and down. What will be most likely depend on the weather and my mood?

September first started with a heavy storm and the temperature dropped with 15 degrees Celsius. At night it's only 12°C. This morning I drove both to the bus station by the moonlight and through the fog. It's clear Autumn if not Winter is near. I need a coat in the morning (I don't have one) and winter shoes and in the afternoon it's "Summer" again.

"How was your day?" I asked the youngest. I sent a WhatsApp and SMS to get out at the water tap, they children didn't read it but since they stood on the bus for an hour the youngest saw me (smart kid) and decided to get out earlier.
"Fine. We explored the school, there's no classroom for us and I have my new books."
The new books are mainly German, History, and maths. Let's hope this will be an easy year. At both schools, the teachers spoke about homeschooling. Sounds like they count on the next lockdown or are willing to improve the lessons.

Both schools seem to deal with too many students. Not because they are popular but mainly because of the merging of schools. They say it's a way of saving money but in reality, they still have not a penny left for some activities. That's why the parents are billed. They need to pay for sports activities, days out (excursions), copies of papers (never see one we make the copies ourselves), et cetera. Together a high amount of extra's per child each school year again. It's good I save for these expenses otherwise it would be a big stress factor how to gather the next 5 or 10 euro again.
Since the teacher of the youngest mentioned it's not sure if all parents agree by paying 10 euro for the German grammar book we spent a part of the money to buy the most needed exercise books and notebooks first. Next week I'll see how to deal with the rest.

It is the beginning of classes and the daily difficulties begin.

The climate here is having ups and downs too. Waves of heat, the rain comes and the heat goes down a bit. It refreshes at least at night because during the day the temperature reaches 38 ° C and more.

I hope that the children adapt well to all these changes. In classes.

The temp there will be rising again to 32 degrees but at night it will be colder plus I can feel the difference inside the house already. I fear for a cold winter.

The youngest "made two friends" all not talkative and both said on the former school people only talked to them if it's about homework. On Monday they go sailing (introduction) and now that school requires face masks in the hallway and stairways too. A bit late if you ask me. Today it needs to take the bus home alone. The bus-kid will arrive in hours later and the driving instructor will puck it up and take (partly) home. Only 10 more lessons to go.

I hope your son and you will not have too much stress. 💕

If he has to go to college, that will give me strees. Here conditions have not improved. It is getting worse. Good thing that the boy already found a friend from class.!

I doubt these are friends but if not they can exchange homework and information about school. This virus will not leave us it's not different than the other Sars viruses. I heard more borders close. They are afraid of the second wave.

It's the same with my son. He also makes "class friends" just to stay connected with the day's assignments. Then they won't see each other anymore.

I can't stand writing anymore. I'm going to walk a bit and then rest my back.

It is necessary. The school is bad if it comes to giving information. This is the only way to stay updated.

the important thing in education is to achieve quality. In our country, Venezuela, the same happens with fees in paid institutions. and those that are free are considered to have a bad education. I see that in another country they complain the same as here. transportation, weather, institutional fees, daily work whether at home or on the street. We all have the same problems wherever we live. you have to live and enjoy what God provides us with. Wish our families good health.

Yes, the problems are the same everywhere. We do not really have private schools. You always need to pay. It depends on the school, it's activities how much. I no longer care about high education. I have doubts about finding a job. The more skills the better and I hope they have fun. Life should at least have a bit fun. All the best to you too. 💕

It seems like the weather over at your side is as confused as it is at mine.

I'm happy schools are open there, though I can understand how tentative parents will get - we are in the middle of a deadly pandemic anyway.

And then again school comes with its fees here and there and literally everywhere

They will all come with their fees no matter if people can afford it. To be honest I wonder what happened with the money of last year, the school insurance, etc.

Perhaps it's good if the children go back to school even though each school has it's own policy if it comes to the coronavirus. I have strong doubts about it but within four weeks we'll see if and how it involves people. Perhaps homeschooling is for those in quarantine? A few weeks school means some practical lessons, meeting teachers and students, time to set up everything.

The weather is kind of messed up but from Saturday on it should be warm again. I hope so at least for 8-10 hours a day. 💕

All the fees paid for the botched term were supposed to be reimbursed or converted into this new term's fees, but over here, they say it was used for online classes.

They can as well put on red noses and become clowns if they think that'll fool anyone. I personally feel some subjects can't be thought online, like Mathematics. Others like Physics need a laboratory, so a return to school is in order.

Over here it starts cold in the mornings but as soon as it's midday, the sun comes out and it's a good time to dry out my clothes.

For sure they will not reimburse the fee because they have a hard time. They did not invest in homeschooling. The government gave schools some sites to use which meant the students could use it for free (no internet costs) but of course many didn't use these sites.

Mine did maths online. There are videos and tv programs that explain how or what although I believe the children only watched it twice and already knew. Both are good and good pupils even get more lessons (that doesn't make sense to me help those who need help).

Yesterday morning it was cold, this morning too but I wake up earlier too, at 4:30 am to make it on time. I hung the laundry inside. Mainly white school stuff not that the birds poop on it. 👋
