Sipping coffee

You need to drink coffee to be able to sip it and sipping coffee is something we hardly do. We drink tea or just boiled water. We no longer care if some taste is added to it and to be honest most tea we drink these days taste like nothing. I thought I was the only one losing taste but the youngest no longer likes to drink tea. No problem it's winter which means hot chocolate time. We make it with real cocoa, water, and a bit of milk. Taking care of our weight is important and so is the amount of milk we drink.

We are not 100% sure if we are allergic to it. Not that we ever drank high amounts of milk. A glass of milk is what we rarely drink but still... These days it's easy to be allergic. Not because if it comes to humankind no longer the fittest survive but because the food we consume is junk and poisoned.

Pesticides, antibiotics, and plastic are what we consume. It turns out that even breathing makes us inhale (or is it consume?) plastic and all kind of stuff which is not good for the health. The way food is produced today changes the way it should look and taste.

Vegetables, fruits hardly contain vitamins or smell good. It's the same with tea (bags filled with trash and the name Pickwick doesn't make them taste better) neither does Nescafe make the coffee made with a Dolce Gusta taste better. What you smell, if it comes to tea and coffee, is rarely what you taste. Sipping is enjoying but since we do not enjoy we flush it away and don't empty our cup because it simply doesn't taste good enough.

Maybe because coffee is more available here because it belongs to the coffee belt but a day without coffee (despite my low caffeine tolerance) is much needed, really. I don't like teas much because some just don't satisfy that caffeine boost that coffee has

The teas I use at home for my children are, if I may call them that, homemade teas. Mint, chamomile, Hajduk grass, nettle, St. John's wort, linden are all plants that thrive in the area where I live, they are at our fingertips, there is no one who can dry them. As for coffee, there is everything in instant coffee bags, only coffee. I prefer to buy the one in grain, grind it and cook it, then I drink it with pleasure.

We would call them herb teas. To me a tea is still black or green or a herb tea but the only one we drank is mint. I am allergic against chamomile.
