Going home
"Is there anything you like to share with me?"
She looked at him in surprise. After they went in she had expected no further questions but it turned to be out the opposite.
"You are an attractive woman and I wonder how come you don't have a home. You just show up out of the blue..."
The way he looked at her made her feel uncomfortable. Why did he suddenly show that much interest in who she was, where she had been, her home? What exactly did she know about him? Now she thought about it... what did she know about him? Could she trust him, his kindness?
Underneath her eyelashes, she saw a glimpse of the brown legs crossed in front of her. She swallowed...
"I could use a piece of chocolate. You have any by chance?"
"Just this one."
In his hand, he held a salty peanut butter bar it reminded her of something. Odd how certain things bring back memories of long ago.
Hopefully he doesn't have false kindness and wants to take advantage of his amnesia.
