Deviation
Luc didn't seem to be too happy.
It was clear to me why he acted the way he did.
He felt the need to spread it thick, which wasn't appreciated by the rest.
Do you mind? Why don't you give your best to share for a change, Brigit said.
She felt upset about Luc's intolerance and 'unfair' was the number one word in her dictionary.
Take a look at yourself! As if you are ever short on anything, or have ever been!
I spy, I spy with my little eye..., he raised his hand and pointed in the direction of her backpack.
Are you crazy, Tom yelled, all he wanted was to protect the new love in his life, attacked was how he felt.
Our short break with the sixth floor felt like a big mistake.
May I have your attention, please!
Raising my voice to keep the peace was not my idea of fun.
Everyone, this is a day out, no group session.
Tom and Brigit have something to celebrate and Jane made a new start.
Let's not make this trip hard for each other. Enjoy your meal, the sea, fresh air. Relax and let's thank the man, who kindly invited us.
Thank you, Sam, Jane said.
Amazingly Sam smiled back at her.
Like usual he stayed aside. He was a great observer although a pessimist (he rather called himself a realist).
He quietly raised his glass as if to make a toast, but he didn't say a phrase. No emotion was shown on his face.
It was good to see Jane had decided to keep her mouth shut and fit in.
I admit, I did pray, that she wouldn't turn out to be my first and only, reward of today.
For sure this group of people have a lot in common.
I knew they would never admit it, but each one of them had to fight the same demon.
Not 'deviation' was their problem, but 'obsession'.
Their fixation on something or someone...
It was an addiction which they needed to survive. Each one of them lived a lonely life.
A life most of us lived, and had to deal with.
If it came to that Luc was right in saying: There is no confidence among us. Why share anything with a bunch of crazy nuts one cannot trust? Accept it, since it is as it is, we all should take care of ourselves first before we share what we cannot miss.
Greetings from the 6th floor
