In Postojna Cave, you can see stalagmites in the immediate vicinity and meet real straight dragon cubs (human fish). The Postojna Cave, in which mountains rise just like on the surface, rivers murmur and huge halls open, is a challenge for researchers and the cradle of world speleobiology.

Five meters high stalagmite of bright white color called Briljant with all its size is a symbol of Postojna Cave and Slovenian karst. Next to it is a baroque decorated cave pillar.

The water flowing over the stalagmite deposits a thin layer of pure calcite sigma that gives the Brilliant shine and whiteness.

In 1872, the world's first railway built in a cave with sigas was opened in Postojna Cave.
