Simplicity: The New Luxury
Materialism brings joy but not true happiness. (Photo: Unsplash)
The beauty of simple life
Nowadays, people are longing for simplicity. We are overwhelmed with choices and options, and many of us feel like we don't have enough time in the day to get everything done. This is why easy and simple solutions are becoming more and more popular. People are looking for ways to facilitate their lives, so they can focus on what really matters. Having a simple life can help to reduce the amount of stress we are exposed to on a daily basis.
We are constantly tired of everything trying to capture our attention. At the end of the day, what we want is just to rest and relax, and spend time with loved ones. Nowadays, people are seeking out simplicity as the new luxury. Rich are not those who can afford to buy anything they can think of. Luxury is about having what makes you happy.

Luxurious life
One of the luxuries in life is time. No matter how much money one may have, they cannot buy time - it is something that we lose continuously. We should use it wisely since we cannot ever get it back. So think twice before saying no to your friend so that you can work extra time. Your family might need some extra money but do your partner and children actually spend enough time with you? Love has to be expressed openly to keep the connection tight. And when it comes to riches, what is the point of buying all kinds of fancy items if we don't have time to enjoy them?
Life hacks
Countless blog posts cover lists of hacks or tips. This is a clear sign that we are looking for magical tricks to fix pain points in life. We want to know what are the shortcuts - and there is nothing wrong with it. It makes no sense to do something the hard way unless there is a true benefit in doing that. Typically, that is not the case. Life is hectic and exhausting. Survival is one way of living. But is it the only one, really?

Back to the basics
It can be incredibly freeing to strip away the excesses in our lives and focus on what's truly important. When we go back to basics, we can simplify our lives and fully enjoy life. One way to simplify your life is by getting rid of clutter. Clutter not only takes up space physically, but it also takes up space mentally, making it difficult to focus on anything else. By decluttering your home, you'll free up both physical and mental space so you can concentrate on the things that matter most.
Another way to simplify your life is by simplifying your schedule. Too often, we try to do too many things at once, which leaves us feeling overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted. Simplify your schedule by planning a small number of activities for each day, then stick to them so you can finish what's important without feeling rushed.
To wrap up
Handling chaos is a brave endeavour but choosing simplicity is better in the long run. Our mind cannot work on 100% load at all times, and sooner or later, it will collapse, i.e., it will forcefully bring us back to a more manageable lifestyle. Why not avoid the breakdown and try to remove the unnecessary clutter?
