A Defense for AMP ⚡

Ah yes, AMP.

The big bad evil CDN/framework created by Google to track you more even in sites that don't normally implement Google trackers.

So, how would you even defend it?

AMP Is No Longer Just Google's

Yeah.

For example, the framework is entirely open source: https://github.com/ampproject/amphtml

Many companies have also shown their support for AMP as well.

For example, Cloudflare, with a demo @ https://cloudflareamp.org/

And, mind you, Cloudflare has done a lot to show that they respect privacy concerns.

Also, AMP is just faster, whether you're viewing a page or making it.

So, what does this all boil down to? AMP is great, and it doesn't really deserve the criticism.

But hey, maybe you've got a point I haven't covered. Just leave a comment and I'll probably reply with a counter-argument :P
