maybe they are not specifically btc trolls, just trolls who want to derail cryptocurrency as a whole
We call them BTC trolls, but I think you are basically correct. IMO, they are often professional social engineering agents working to harm the dream of Bitcoin. BTC was captured and "tamed" so it could not fulfill the Bitcoin dream using the social engineering to fool the community. They still do that and fool the public into thinking BTC is still a real Bitcoin effort. They attack BCH because it seeks to fulfill the true dream of Bitcoin. They do not usually attack BTC because they know it is no longer a threat to the fiat status quo.
