Inspiring Value of the Forest

Anyone who appreciates God's creation will undoubtedly always appreciate the forest for its beauty and solitude, for its inspiring and spiritual value. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, a walk through the woods, among plants and wild flowers, can even be regenerating. What a pleasure to have a picnic by the lake or clear stream, after wading or swimming in the pure, cool waters! What a pleasure to walk or ride in the forest! Barbecues, camping trips, the smell of campfires, the thrill of seeing fish splashing in shady streams or hearing the thrill of thrushes are exhilarating moments, memories you will never forget.

In general, silence reigns in deep forests, sometimes interrupted by the cry of a bird, a state of mind that left deep traces in men of all ages. Forests are discreet havens where suffering seems to diminish a little, where joy seems more intimate, and where meditation seems to flow as easily as streams. When you are alone in the depths of the forest, there is loneliness. There is peace. God's work is near. There are no howling sirens, no terrifying sounds to shake the mind, just the soothing rhythms of the trees. The rustle of leaves, the rolling of streams and streams are musical notes that lighten the heart.

Only a loving God can give such a rewarding gift, which is why the Bible says: "Jehovah God made every tree desirable to be seen and good to eat so that it may grow on the earth."After spending time in the forest with animals or with a burning wood, after breathing the rich air of the forest and experiencing its peace, the belief that only God can make a tree is renewed.
