YES EXACTLY! What could be nicer than sitting in a comfortable chair all day? And if this chair turns out to be a rocking chair, it's a touching piece of equipment.

Why the popularity of rock? Why do many people find this to be one of the most comfortable and useful chairs? Well, for hundreds of years, mothers have used this chair to calm their little babies or to keep them from crying. (And many mothers felt their nerves were silenced at the same time!) Plus, more than one child was gently shaken by their grandmother when they heard a "bedtime story." The movement seems to have something that calms sensitive people.

Many older people also believe that the rocking motion of a rocking chair is a calming balm for aging. They found that a few minutes of rocking really calmed them down and made them sleepy after getting too nervous to sleep. Swinging on the porch on a quiet night gave them the opportunity to meditate and put things in perspective. Some older people think that a problem for the younger generation is not knowing how to relax. Perhaps the growing popularity of the rocking chair in some places suggests a young man's desire for "old fashioned" rest.

However, in addition to the emotional benefits, there are many practical benefits for the rocker. In the tropics, the shuttle moves like a fan and also prevents mosquitoes from landing. A good incentive to continue!

Even in hot weather, three or four people sitting on a messy couch would soon experience uncomfortable heat. But with a rocking chair, everyone sits in their own chair and air circulates around them.
