Ethereum 2.0 is an enhancement to the Ethereum network that is scheduled to take effect in 2020. When released, Ethereum 2.0 will mainly be a test net for checking the consensus algorithm method of Proof-of-Stake. Much of the economic operation and smart contracts will continue to run on the initial Ethereum network, which will continue to be parallel to Ethereum 2.0. Developers are introducing the probability of transition from Eth1 to Eth2, but the reverse would be impossible.
