In our fast paced and speedy communicating world, secure communications, is a must, as companies, and other entities need secure communication channels, to avoid information leak, to competitors. The blockchain, has to offer security, and decentralization, so a new communication project, started using this technology. I found a great project, so I decided, to make an article, about it.
What is the Skrumble network?
The Skrumble network, is a decentralized communication application, based upon, it's own blockchain. It provides a layer for developers, to add secure communication to their applications, using the project's blockchain. Skrumble, will build the first decentralized full spectrum application, that bypasses firewalls, and provide reputation management. It will create opportunities, for people, to add decentralized communication elements, to any application.
The main objective and blockchain nodes
The aim of the project, is the support, for rich multimedia, with fast response times, as these, are the current needs, of the communication market. It will manage to transfer information, that is required to make a secure peer to peer (P2P) communication, alongside, with financial transaction's ledger data. The speed of transactions per second will increase, from 500 TPS to 1000 TPS. There are two types of nodes. Peer nodes, and validating nodes. The peer nodes, can broadcast, receive, and transfer transactions or blocks, and the validating nodes, create blocks of data.
Identity based network security
The project employs a novel approach, to user identity management in blockchain services. The identity based end to end security, extends from the network client, to the blockchain fabric. With this tool, identity based network segmentation, and traffic separation, can be achieved, so traffic can be limited, to the amount needed. All unauthorized traffic (port scans) is dropped, at the transport level, so no reply is sent, to malicious users.
The SKM utility token
The SKM token will provide membership class functionality, based on the number of tokens owned. The membership privileges, will provide increased functionality, and resources. A video call, sending a file, larger than the initial file size requirements, a saved conversation, or sending a locked file that only one user can unlock. There will be rewards, for users, with this token, random airdrops, and other rewards, when users contribute to the promotion, and other functionality, of the network.
