Following my previous article, I'll mention some names and developments concerning, the technology sector. We should all know about them, because, without them, we could not have computers at home, and of course, we could not have read.cash.

Sir Clive Marles Sinclair

He is a well known British entrepreneur and inventor. He managed to create, the first personal computer, that could use a TV screen as a monitor. Everything was very expensive, back, in the late 70's and early 80's. So using a TV as a monitor (a TV was available in every house), slashed down the cost of a personal computer, so most middle class people, could have one. It was the ZX80.

Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn

Their partnership drove the creation of the TCP/IP protocol. With this protocol, packets of data, could be sent, from one computer to another. This is the backbone protocol, of the internet, that guarantees that the data from a web server (website), will reach our computer. This was an order of military use to ensure that no central server is needed. In case of an attack, if there were only two units of an army left, they still, should have data connectivity.

Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee

He is a software engineer, that created the world wide web protocol. With this protocol, we can see, any website in our browser. So, we can see read.cash. At the beginning, all websites had the www prefix that stands, for World Wide Web. Nowadays, it can be omitted, as all browsers, are world wide web clients, and all the sites, are world wide web servers.

We don't know them, because they are nor rich and famous, but we must know them, because without them, we could not write and use read.cash. Have a nice day!
