Been jobless
I will start with the fact that jobs are a must in every society. No society can do without jobs. Jobs are the only way of development and growth. But of course, not all jobs are sparkling. Some can be so tedious that no one wants to have them. In those cases, you will have the few who, by any means and all mean, will grab it, no matter the amount of pain and suffering it involves. To me, nothing is better than a jobless man. I don't mean jobless as having no job but being free from shackles that come with any job/occupation. You see, it's hard to be jobless but not impossible.
The devil workshop . . . .its what some people call the unemployment office. Many jobless people become increasingly frustrated, angry and desperate in their search for work.
This frustration turns to anger and then to desperation as the unemployed run out of money and become dependent on government assistance. Call it what you will, but in reality the devil workshop is merely a holding place for people trying to get back on their feet - a place to store them until they can find work.
Every week in Nigeria, hundreds of jobless graduates trooped to the offices of banks, human resource departments and other private institutions hunting for job.
Honestly, it is not an easy thing to be jobless. Every day, you are waiting for your phone to ring so you can go for an interview.
At night, you tell yourself that nobody wants you in this world. In the morning, you ask God to hear your prayers and give you a job. You lose weight. You refuse to see friends because you don't want them to see you in that pathetic state. You can't sleep well at night and when sleepy, you dream about finding a job. You become unusually irritable and angry with every little thing.
When a man is jobless, he becomes desperate and will do everything possible to get money. A jobless person can be an angry person cos such a person will be frustrated with every little thing that was not done for him.
This is what happens to many out-of-works in our country today. Its really a sad state to anyone in there cos its unbearable for me. No money to survive and no one will really want to be friend with an idle person, not just handle but without money. we all know money is involved with anything we are doing it, be it food, clothes, data, transport etc. one who doesnt have anyone to sponsor him or her will definitely think of doing odd jobs or let me say think of any means like stealing, smuggling just to get money to survive.
