6 great movies for those looking for a movie to watch.
As I promised in my first article, I will share a classical music in each article so that you can read my articles while listening to the music. My song recommendation for today is Laurent Dury's Ongoing View C.
Our quarantine process continues. We are all at home. We were bored, bored, but as they say, "it is better to be bored at home by looking at the ceiling than to be sad by looking at the ceiling of the intensive care unit." I have prepared a list of movies that I humbly like so you don't get bored.
1. PEEKAY (2014)
IMDB: 8.1
We watch how many situations that we find ordinary seem interesting through the eyes of an alien who came to Earth from outer space. Peekay also has a few words for those who speak for God. You will not understand how two and a half hours passed thanks to the acting of the famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan (who also came to our country).
2. TRUMAN SHOW (1998)
IMDB: 8.1
I have to say that if you haven't watched this movie, which is more than a simple movie, it has a philosophical background, you are missing a lot. Truman is an innocent man whose life has been caught on camera and turned into a TV series without his knowledge. While making inquiries about himself and his environment, he will also try to learn his life purpose. It also reveals the curiosity of people in each other's private lives in the digitalized world. An excellent movie ahead of its time.
3. SPIRITED AWAY (2001)
IMDB: 8.6
Spirited Away is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The movie also includes references to icons and mythological characters. Miyazaki almost gave a lesson on what an original film is and how it is made.
4. DJANGO UNCHAINED (2012)
IMDB: 8.4
Famous director Quentin Tarantino's great movie with western, revenge and racism themed comic elements. It's about a freed slave named Django trying to save his wife from the sadistic rancher. I recommend you to watch this movie, which has very satisfying sequences visually.
5. AGORA (2009)
IMDB: 7.2
Hypatia of Alexandria is one of the earliest female mathematicians and philosophers. A true life story is told in Agora, one of the best quality films to watch in the historical drama genre. Hypatia's battle for science and philosophy is reflected very successfully. We see how persecution and oppression in the name of religion destroys ideas.
6. A SEPERATION (2011)
IMDB: 8.3
In this Academy (Oscar) award-winning film by Asghar Ferhadi, the successful director of Iranian cinema, an interesting event is told about a couple who want a divorce. We feel as if the scenes are happening right next to us in the movie, where we also get information about Iranian life. It is watched even for the messages given within the framework of the subject treated in an artistic way.
