1917 review - Great WW2 movie [9/10]

Today I'll review the movie 1917, this movie is Dunkirk appetite. The movie is directed by Sam Mendes. Sam Mendes; He's also the director of numerous celebrated films alike as the James Bond films Specter and Skyfall. I would also like to point out that he's both the screenwriter, producer and director of the movie 1917.

Getting on to the subject of the movie, our movie is about the true story of 2 American soldiers who were assigned with conveying a really important message during the First World War. While the Germans are running away, they tactic and form a new line, where they try to hunt down the American soldiers who think they've fully withdrawn. But the Americans, learning this, have to go after the Germans and send word to the unit that will fall into their trap. Of course, there are numerous factors and possibilities, and they've to assign only 2 soldiers for this. They allow that their time is limited and that they can not risk the lives of further soldiers. When recruiting soldiers, they're chosen for this task by considering their abilities. Of course, this may be the tactics of the commanders. Because the brother of one of the soldiers they transferred is a lieutenant from the unit that will fall into the trap. Our idol, who willingly accepts the task to save his family, of course, wants to leave as soon aspossible.However, you'll learn the story of the alternate soldier he chose with him, If you watch the movie.

One of the parts of the movie that impressed me the most. According to the scene, the Germans shoot the cows while they're retreating, so that the Americans can't advantage from their meat and milk. But of course, you have to see that scene with your own eyes.

The shooting of the movie is really good too. Stage shots are too long. In other words, all of the cast and crew did their job really well. Imagine you're playing continuously for 10 minutes and the camera keeps shooting non-stop.

This scene was shot in one go because it was too costly. If you're a little bit into filmmaking, you probably know how difficult it is.

Whereas, in other film, the camera angle changes nearly every 15 seconds, and the other camera is jumped. Therefore, the film gives the feeling of being shot second by second. But this film is different. Oh, there is also the milk thing in the movie, which really affects people.

Another thing I liked was that I saw actors that I hadn't seen before in this movie. However, it'll catch your eye instantly, yes, If you watch the movie with two celebrated names. I recommend you to watch this film which was released in 2019. My rating for this movie is 9 out of 10. Enjoy watching.
