Have you heard the old saying that - if you've never made any mistake, then you probably have never learned something new. How else will you learn something new, if you don't summon the courage to make some mistakes at the early stages of learning, how will you become a master at it?
Those people that we call masters are the people that have learned, made mistakes, learned again and again. Constantly standing up each time they fall. That's the only way it's done. But nowadays, people are told that failing at things is bad. This makes people risk averse.
On the contrary, the wealthiest businessmen encourage taking calculated risks and making mistakes. You should always be watchful, when you find out you're no longer making any mistakes. That means that you're not learning anything new. The truth is that inventions or new start ups are uncertain by their very nature.

If you already know that a business will be successful, then you're not experimenting. The likes of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos suggest that you should make reasonable mistakes, perform experiments, as this is the root source of knowledge and experience. But you must also understand that some mistakes are unreasonable.
Unreasonable mistakes are careless mistakes made on things that you've already mastered, or you should have known better. It's absolutely wrong to make those kinds of mistakes. You should only be making mistakes on new endeavors. As they say - success comes after so many failures and mistakes.
