I wish AMPL would stop hovering around the $1 mark like this! I thought we were just about to start a nice run of positive rebases but it doesn't seem to want to commit...
@technicallyproduct in January 2021
I'm surprised by the relative lack of crypto-related content here - especially compared with Read.cash! Hopefully we will get hashtags soon so we can find anything related to #BCH, #ETH, #AMPL or whatever else we are interested in...
So I started 2020 with zero crypto. I ended the year with a mixed bag worth $360. That was all just from earning then HODLing - no trading! It might not sound like much but it's nice to have a hobby that makes money rather than costing money...
Just spotted that usernames on Noise.cash are case sensitive. So for example the link https://noise.cash/u/technicallyproduct works (for my username) but https://noise.cash/u/Technicallyproduct doesn't. A big difference to Twitter and might catch some people out!
Go.cash is giving away $50 of Bitcoin Cash in a competition here on Noise.cash! I've just entered - here are the details if you want to as well: https://noise.cash/post/lpqwqx61
So almost all my crypto holdings are green at the moment apart from Stellar Lumen (XLM). It looks like XLM has been caught up in the fallout from the XRP debacle (see https://bit.ly/3olOU8J)? Come on, XLM, you can do it!
Just counted up and I have 23 different alts in my portfolio. Top three by value are BCH, ETH and BAT. How about you?
So if Twitter has tweets and Facebook has posts, does Noise.cash have noises?
OK, I have added my face as an avatar. Thought about using a logo instead, but hey - let's go for the personal touch!
Does anyone else use https://coin.fyi? It's a very simple, free way of keeping track of your crypto portfolio online. Would recommend if you're not looking for anything complicated.
Take a look through the posts in your 'Subscriptions' tab and in particular the people who are leaving replies on them. Seems to be the best way to find decent new people to subscribe to!
OK, my XLM holdings have overtaken my BTC holdings in value. This was after me moaning about XLM just a few days ago!
My favourite Bitcoin faucet has to be Earnbitcoin.io. It's a daily claim so not annoying, and you get 10,000 sats just for signing up. https://www.earnbitcoin.io/?r=300132
Brave is giving me a lot of adverts for something called HEX at the moment. Has anyone tried staking HEX?
I've just hit 50 subscribers (not literally, that wouldn't be kind). Onwards and upwards!
Does anyone else use the sMiles app to earn some Bitcoin from walking around? I've just transferred some sats from the app to my Lightning wallet so it's definitely legit - no minimum payout either. https://www.smilesbitcoin.com and referral code: jamesdanielclark176
So far I've been mostly giving my tips to new people (as I discover them) rather than people I already subscribe to. It seems like a nice way to introduce myself. But most of my favourite content is now from people I subscribe to, so maybe I should think about changing my approach...
So today I put a small trade on BTC increasing from $39K to $39.8K. It immediately plummeted to $37.5K! Luckily I used free funds from StormGain mining (https://app.stormgain.com/friend/BNS17156338) so not the end of the world.
The value of my portfolio is down around 14% since Saturday's high. Could be worse, but still... ouch
What dessert do Noise.cash users love the most? Profiteroles
Ooh, I'm on 99 followers! Can anyone help me get my century? (Edit: erm, I'm not begging for subs. Just excited to get to 100... I will try to control myself in future)
Hello! If you are enjoying my ramblings here on Noise.cash, feel free to connect with me on Publish0x. I try to write a couple of articles each month, and most of mine are about crypto. https://www.publish0x.com/@TechnicallyProduct?a=8mepYAP2aM
Ooh, I just found an unexpected $20 of BTC in my Celsius account (albeit locked for a few more weeks). I think this is my first ever referral! Happy days. What's Celsius, you say? Check it out: https://celsiusnetwork.app.link/153115694d
Interested in BCH? Our fellow Noise.cash user MoreGainStrategies has written an excellent article on 'earning more while publishing less': https://read.cash/@MoreGainStrategies/earn-more-while-publishing-less-my-tips-for-authors-8c9da0cb
Amazingly, PRE is now one of my top five alts by value. And it's closing in on fourth place! I'm guessing the upcoming launch of the new Presearch decentralized search engine (a week today) is really giving it a boost. https://presearch.medium.com/january-28th-2021-7b144d1b69d1
Does anyone else have a daily 'to do' list for their crypto earning activity? Each day I claim GoodDollar, Pi, and Coingecko candies. I use the PipeFlare and Globalhive faucets. I watch something on Lbry and get the activity bonus on Uptrennd. So even on days when I'm not doing anything major like writing an article, I'm still building my portfolio. Phew!
So I've got a new strategy with BetFury! I keep the first 100 sats I make from the Free Box each day. The rest I spend on a low-odds, low-stakes game to generate BFG tokens. I spent 70 sats on the Dice game today and generated 0.49 BFG tokens as a result. I need 7 more tokens to start staking, so that's only another two weeks (all things being equal). #Faucet
I wonder how Noise.cash picks the users that appear in the 'Might be interesting' box? They are often interesting people to follow but not necessarily the biggest/most popular accounts
Wow, I now have more followers here on Noise.cash than I do on Publish0x (213 vs 211). I've been using Publish0x for five months and Noise.cash for just one month...
PRE is going up like a rocket! I can't believe my small amount is currently worth more than $60... #CryptoPrice
Ooh, I've got 100 LBRY Credits (LBC). I know it's just vanity but there's something satisfying about hitting nice round numbers like this! And if you aren't already using the LBRY video platform Odysee, then check it out: https://odysee.com/$/invite/@technicallyproduct:3 #Cryptocurrency
I've just worked out the sites and tools that earned me the most crypto in January. They are: 1. Presearch 2. Noise.cash 3. LBRY 4. Coinbase (Coinbase Earn) 5. Brave What's your list? #Cryptocurrency
