Take care of yourself on your career journey
In life, everyone is inspired by things, events and phenomena. And then there are the paths that you draw as a result of the questions you ask yourself when you stumble and stumble.
Perhaps the most important thing we should never forget as we move forward on that path is to direct your dreams by believing in what you want and what you can do, rather than everyone telling you what you can do.
Whether it's in business relationships or in your personal life, it doesn't matter... Human beings by nature tend to put their own interests first. I don't mean that as a bad thing, but that's precisely why no one better than you can decide what you want and where you want to take your life.
Let's take your workplace. They give you a task, for example. If you are a perfectionist, for example, they want you to do it in the best way possible, in their own way. But you are not allowed to do it in your own way. You are either not expected to make mistakes or your margin of error is very low.
However, I think the best way to learn is to learn by experience. Of course, I'm not in favor of screwing things up irreversibly... But I think there can be many ways to do a job.
I think the truly inspiring managers are the ones who see their employees not as employees, but as companions. The most valuable thing that will increase a person's self-confidence when choosing the steps they will take to gain experience is to make that person feel your trust in them. Some people say, "How can we feel if the person doesn't give that trust? You will give that confidence so that I can feel it. But maybe they are doing things in their own way instead of your way... You may not see everything. Some people decide that everything is perfect in their own way. However, there is no such thing as perfect. Being a perfectionist manager or employee does nothing but tire both yourself and the other person.
For example, human nature expects to be appreciated. You don't do a job just to be appreciated, of course, but being appreciated makes people happy and makes them stick to their work more tightly. Of course, it is not right to say this for everyone, but based on my observations; unfortunately, most managers have a primitive idea that appreciation will cause a person to loosen up and not get over the ego wall.
However, I don't think there is anything that will give more enthusiasm than removing the walls and making the person feel that they are really on this path together and making them feel valued. Of course, some people's enthusiasm can develop with other facts and materials. For some it may be more material income, for others it may be a title and rank, for others it may be a feeling of being valuable and successful. But at the heart of it all is the inherent human desire for self-actualization.
At a workplace, you may be doing the same job monotonously every day, like a robot, just to ensure the continuity of your livelihood. But isn't the real purpose of life to realize ourselves? For this reason, it is very important to draw the path you will take and to decide the steps you will take on that path only by yourself.
Because you can only move forward for a certain period of time on the path drawn by others, and after a while, neither the work you do will give you pleasure, nor will you be able to meet expectations. For this reason, it is very important to get to know oneself, to find one's own ikiga, to find one's own path, and to openly discuss and communicate problems at the point where one feels unsupported on this path. Afterwards, it will be your choice to create your route.
No one knows you better than you. No one else can tell you what you want, what kind of path you want to follow and what you are uncomfortable with. The hero of your life is only you! For this reason, you should not hesitate to talk and communicate. The biggest step you can take for yourself and your dreams is to know what you want and to be able to talk about it openly. The rest will flow by itself according to the route you will draw.
