Today the airline company EasyJet announced a data breach which has reportedly compromised an estimated 9 million customers! Just another reason why people should make the jump to crypto where possible.

: EasyJet has admitted that a "highly sophisticated cyber-attack" has affected approximately nine million customers. It said email addresses and travel details had been stolen and that 2,208 customers had also had their credit card details "accessed". The firm has informed the UK's Information Commissioner's Office while it investigates the breach. EasyJet first became aware of the attack in January. It told the BBC that it was only able to notify customers whose credit card details were stolen in early April. Stolen credit card data included the three digital security code — known as the CVV number — on the back of the card itself. EasyJet added that it had gone public now in order to warn the nine million customers whose email addresses had been stolen to be wary of phishing attacks. It said that it would notify everyone affected by 26 May.

Yez buddi one can hope, but always with card come problem. Just find waitress to bring RFID scanner, clone cards, find homeless guy to withdraw money. Hopefully you found the homeless guy 5 cities away in a rental car. "Help him out" by sending him in to withdraw the funds, give him $50 reward.....this is just one fictional scenario..

Cloning cards is the process of scanning an original card of its information, and then relaying that information onto another card and using it for malicious purposes.

Bank cards are "take my money" invitation , all the information needed to steal the money is on the card itself .. this is a broken system relays on banks to determent how can take money .

Sure but same with crypto TBH, unreliable exchanges and unsafe storage of KYC/AML documents, keys, etc... I dont understand how they get away with it as all identification or personally identifiable information is supposed to be stored offsite, under PCIDSS compliance. PayPal for example.

Crypto ATM -> Binance Wallet (minimal verification - use US vpn and a major voice provider starts with a G) -> hardware wallet...might cost more now, but wont cost you later, just pray for the profit to cover costs..
