The Dragon Quest series has its own memorial

Dragon Quest is the mother series for virtually every Japanese RPG. It is very difficult to find an artist from this country who does not refer to the work of Enix in his inspirations. This milestone of the gaming industry celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, and a monument was erected to it on this occasion.

On the monument there is a characteristic sword, shield and of course the mascot of the series - Glut (Slime).

This masterpiece is located in the city of Sumoto (Japan), where Yuji Hori - the creator of Dragon Quest, visible in the photo - was born. It is also worth noting that the three elements visible on the monument are not accidental. The shield is supposed to give protection, the slime - luck, and the sword to fight evil. A beautiful thing, I wish the Germans a similar souvenir from Gothic.
