In the United States, new President Joe Biden will lift sanctions on more than a dozen Muslim ethnic groups on his first day in office. The Trump administration has imposed travel bans on people of those ethnic groups, according to Al-Jazeera Online. On the first day of his visit to the White House, Biden is expected to lift the travel ban on people from Muslim-majority countries and at least 13 countries in Africa. In 2017, Donald Trump issued an executive order banning travel to the United States from those Muslim-majority countries. Meanwhile, in 2018, the order went to the Supreme Court after facing several legal battles. But in October of this year, Biden promised that if he came to power, he would lift the executive order and continue the previous rules of travel to the United States. "One by one, from this country, I will lift all the illegal and unconstitutional sanctions that the Trump administration has imposed on Muslims," Biden said. Among the countries that the Donald Trump administration has banned from traveling are Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen. But the Trump administration's unconstitutional executive order has led to religious discrimination in the country and has drawn much criticism.
