if postpaid/plan, identify the account name under which it was bought. If the account name is of another person, secure an authorization letter allowing you to request unlocking of the device
for prepaid, just prepare the device and any government valid ID's

the Globe agent will ask what device you wish to unlock, when you respond that it is a pocket wifi they will reply that they only unlock Samsung/iPhones. This is when you will invoke NTC memorandum 01-05-2019 that mandates Public Telecommunications Entities (PTEs) to unlock mobile phones and devices subject to implementing rules and regulations.
They might say that they need to consult with their legal regarding this and they will get back to you. Be sure to ask for the Globe store's contact number for your follow up.
Within two days, you should receive your unlock code for your device
*this can also be used to unlock your Samsung/iPhones that are already done with the 24 months contract period. All postpaid bills should be settled for them to unlock your device.
