What is GForest?
GForest is a feature in the GCash App that gives you the power to help rebuild the Philippine forests, one tree at a time.
You can collect green energy in GForest by switching to green activities and reducing your carbon footprint. With enough green energy, you can adopt a native tree on your own or with other GCash users, and help rebuild Philippine forests.
How do I plant a tree?
When you plant a virtual tree, GCash will plant a real tree in designated areas like the Ipo Watershed. Once you've earned enough green energy, you can plant a native tree like Yakal or other trees available in the GCash app.
1. Log in to the GCash App, and tap on GForest.
2. Read the GForest User Agreement, and tap on I Want to Help!

How do I earn energy?
You can earn energy when you do transactions in the GCash App that help reduce carbon emission.
It can start from something as simple as walking, buying at least Php100 load, doing bank transfers, paying bills because through cashless transactions, you are able to save paper or reduce carbon emissions from traveling.

Where will the trees be planted?
For every virtual tree collected, GCash has partnered with an organization to plant your tree. The timing of the actual tree-planting will depend on climate and seasonal factors to help the tree grow in the best environment possible.
Who will plant the trees?
GForest is partnered with different institutions such as World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and RAFI (Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.) who have partnered with communities to plant the seedlings and monitor its progress.
When can I receive free energy?
Green energy will be seeded to the users within 48 hours after the transaction.
