I’m back! 🎿 🏔 Mt Ruapehu! I couldn’t resist with the weather forecast so good! I managed to get the day off work today and had an early start - leaving at 5am, and 3 hours later i was jumping on a shuttle to take me up here! It was a great day, and I am now in a very small budget hotel room resting after some food. I’m hoping tomorrow I can drive up to the mountain if the road is open... Mt Taranaki, out in the distance! 🏔 🌋 Can you see Taranaki above the clouds out in the distance? You might need to zoom in a little, but it was incredible to be able to see from here! There is an old Maori legend that tells a story of how Taranaki and Ruapehu had a falling out and Taranaki moved to the west coast. I definitely appreciate it all, and gives thanks as often as possible! This is overlooking tongariro national park on Saturday :) it was good timing as now I cannot leave my city as we have just been put back into a lockdown... again. Incoming clouds! ☁️ 🏔 The clouds were coming in fast, can you see the icy peaks out from the top that was engulfed just as I took this photo? Skiing down through this was fun but also challenging as visibility is very low during time’s like these! Italian gardens... in New Zealand 🇳🇿 This is in Hamilton Gardens, where they have lots of different gardens from all over the world on display, and here is the Italian style garden :) it looks pretty cool to me!:) this is a great place to walk around and see all of the different themed gardens. Waterfalls!:) New Zealand 🇳🇿 Two very different but very beautiful waterfalls:) both in the South Island. Well, I’m not sure if many would classify the second as a waterfall but I do!:) the first one is gigantic, and seen whilst driving through the Haast pass. An incredible part of the country! Chateau Tongariro! At the base of Mt Ruapehu, where I was skiing last weekend, is this amazing chateau! No, I haven’t stayed here as it’s a little out of my price range haha! But it’s a lovely building and makes for a lovely scene. The big free field out the front is a nice place to relax and have a picnic with a awesome view. It’s also a base point for lots of cool nearby hikes :) Peace and love!

Remarkable Ruapehu :) Happy Friday! This first photo is one of my favourites of Mt Ruapehu as the hike is just so beautiful! Clear streams, trees, waterfalls, and snowy mountains, it’s just the best! It’s warming up now and spring is fully underway, so I don’t think the snow will last much longer :) I’ll go back in the summer and it will look very different!:) Peace and love!

Beautiful blue lake, Rotorua NZ Can you see me? Hehe, well in the last picture you can!:) I have my snorkel on even though there wasn’t much to see haha. This lake is actually called ‘blue lake’ and green lake is also near by. It’s lovely, clear, and also fairly warm! Warm for a lake anyway, about 20-25 degrees I would say! Compared to some lakes and springs here (8-14 degrees) it’s warm but nothing like the bath like waters of Thailand! However, this is a geothermal area…

Waterfalls of Haast pass, South Island NZ This was a tall one! Cascading down into the brilliant blue waters... it was wonderful. The Haast pass is driving low in the valley through a mountainous national park along a crystal clear blue river, and waterfalls are just going off everywhere! Fantail falls, South Island NZ (click for clear water view!:) ) Another amazing stop on the Haast pass! Surrounded by pure wilderness, the waterfalls just keep coming. They’re everywhere! The blue water here is something that really struck me, so clear and clean. Lake Tekapo, South Island NZ Good morning from NZ, noise world! I’m a bit tired today as I released a new guitar video last night, that’s pinned on my profile if anyone is interested :), but here’s a lovely scenic peaceful area, lake tekapo. It’s a beautiful and calming place, and part of New Zealand National dark sky reserve, so it has some of the clearest skies in NZ! There’s an observatory here too, an awesome one! Piriaka lookout :) NZ When driving north from Mt Ruapehu there’s a lovely spot here to check out the awesome view! This river is coming from the mountain, that’s out of sight at this stage. But it sure does make for a lovely view! The Waikato River :) NZ The longest river in NZ, is on my doorstep!:) pretty cool hey! It’s 425km long. Waterfall viewing :) silhouette 👤 Yes, that’s me! Looking out over bridal veil falls, which is probably the closest waterfall to me and also it’s such a great one! It’s about 60m high and very impressive :) there’s 3 platforms here, top, middle (shown here) and bottom :) all are great!:) Peace and love!

Tonight sunset - check out those clouds! The ‘sunset’ a few hours ago, and even though we can’t really see the sun here, aren’t those clouds awesome! I was just out on my typical sunset walk not expecting to see much, but those clouds were looking super layered and unique. The sea! Coromandel, NZ Some of the best beaches in NZ (my opinion) are here in the coromandel. Soft white sand, calm waters, amazing coastlines, distant islands... it doesn’t get much better :) also there are so many beaches and coves here you can almost always find your own private spots!:) Good morning from NZ everyone! Anapuri power station This post is mostly to show the dense bush of New Zealand - check out that last photo! I love the dense bush and those ferns that really standout :) many beautiful shades of green!:) this is also showing the Waikato river, NZ’s longest river. It has many hydro power stations along the way. NZ has quite a high % of renewable electricity generation; over 80%. Most of that comes from hydro! Peace and love :)
Dense green bush! NZ Good morning from NZ everyone :) so here is a classic north island picture (shot in the Waikato) as you’ll see dense bush covering a massive part of the country. The further up north you go it becomes more of a jungle and a little tropical, and the further south it becomes more alpine. Chill spot and unique tree :) life! Photo 1 is a super chill spot in New Plymouth on the west coast of New Zealand’s north island. Can you see my guitar? Photo 2 is a super unique tree that seems to have been taken over by many other plants such as vines and bushes (those nests at the top are cool!) but it still stands strong and tall! My first New Plymouth sunset 🌅 Good morning from NZ. Here is a shot from my first time in New Plymouth, exploring Mt Taranaki! Actually, I did end up climbing that mountain which was the most challenging and exhilarating experience of my life (probably!) Goodnight from Mt Taranaki :) 🌋 🌅 This was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Staying in a hut up in a mountain with no one else around and just silence, in the most beautiful place! This is the night before I hiked/climbed to the top of the 2,518m Mt Taranaki. The Gardens waterfall :) I’ve been away for a few days! I was moving, and have been super busy and was exhausted past few days.
