Everyone knows the love story of Radha-Krishna in Hindu mythology. Despite having a husband, Radha became involved in an extramarital affair with Krishna. And that love story gains immortality forever. Where Hindu folklore does not recognize extramarital affairs, it is strange how this relationship was established as an immortal love story.

According to the Puranas, Krishna is actually a form of Narayana and Radha is a form of Lakshmi. Radha-Krishna's love is a reflection of God's eternal love with man. If Lakshmi in the form of Radha came down to earth to be Krishna's companion, then why did she leave Krishna and marry Ayan?
Legend has it that Ayan's real name was Abhimanyu. He lives in a village called Jarat near Gokul. He was a milk trader by profession. His father's name is Gola, mother is Jatila and sister is Kutila. About Krishna's palika mother Yashoda's tutu brother was Ayan. Krishna's foster father Nanda was the main initiator of Radha's marriage with him. Kali-devotee Ayan used to worship. He had no special interest in anything else. According to most folklore, Ian was impotent.
This begs the question, why does Radha, the incarnation of Lakshmi, who is Krishna's eternal companion, marry Ayan? Folklore has it that in his last life, Ayan got Lakshmi Devi as his wife and started doing great austerities. But Narayan informed that it is not possible to give him this gift. Undeterred, Ayan pursued a more arduous endeavor. Then Narayan was compelled to tell him that in the next birth he would get Radha-rupi Lakshmi as his wife, but in that birth Ayan would be impotent. Although Radha married Ayan, there was no husband-wife relationship between them.
Another folktale, however, says that once as children Radha and Krishna were walking to Vrindavan. Exhausted at that time, they sat down to rest under a bot tree. They started getting married by playing tricks. Brahma himself performed the marriage ceremony, all the gods witnessed the marriage. Some folklore says that Radha's marriage with Ayan is not valid as she is already married to Krishna. All these folktales do not agree to call the Radha-Krishna relationship extra-marital.
A very beautiful story
